A separate topic is food and visiting breakfasts and dinners (we had HB). This is a large canteen, in which there are a lot of people who line up in an uncontrolled queue, a lot of screaming little children, voluminous Arab women who are far from the concept of "politeness" and elementary norms of behavior in a restaurant. Dirty dishes, forks, glasses. I went everywhere with antibacterial wipes. Very bad waiter service. We waited 40 minutes for the water we ordered for 4 dollars 0.7l. The canteen also does not have air conditioning, a mixture of smells of food, sweat, harsh Arabic perfume and God knows what else!
The beach is poorly cleaned, there are no sun loungers. For 3 days, black algae washed ashore, which are not washed out of a swimsuit and swimming trunks. To get towels by the sea, you need to leave a $ 20 deposit at the reception - redneck marketing. Towels are flimsy and stained.
There is free internet near the reception, the signal is weak but constant, for correspondence it’s normal, for video chatting on Skype it’s not enough.
There is a food and water store 15 minutes from the hotel, but it is forbidden to bring your own water and food into the hotel, security responds to packages and bags. I had to carry water in a beach bag with tricks. Rave!
The hotel is disgusting, the staff is lazy and taciturn, the hotel is not worth the money. I do not advise!
Thank you for your attention, appreciate your vacation and go around this hotel!
And now the pluses. The area is large and beautiful. The room is well cleaned. Bed and towels are changed every day. Hygiene items are replenished in a timely manner. I really liked that there were two pillows per person in the room! I love throwing pillows around. I was delighted : ) There are a lot of sun loungers on the beach, so there is enough for everyone at any time. There were no jellyfish, while on the beaches of other hotels a little further in the same city there were many. The water is clean but when the waves are muddy from the sand. The design of the hotel is beautiful. The food is normal: a lot of everything and enough for everyone. If you come at the end of dinner or breakfast, everything will be the same as at the beginning. We had a very good guide (the meeting side of the Leptis Tour).
After talking with people from other hotels, it became clear to us that this hotel is simply superb and we should not go to a hotel below 5 stars in Tunisia.
And now about the country itself: exotic, colorful, interesting! It's worth going there. We were in Turkey and Tunisia caused more impressions and emotions. Looked at a lot. I really liked the 2-day excursion to the Sahara. I also recommend the house - a museum "typical house" in Sadi-bu-Sai. From the rest delighted! Let's eat again.
A two-day excursion to the Sahara is definitely worth a visit, this is a very bright and memorable adventure!
We also rented a car and drove through the whole of northern Tunisia, it is much cheaper than excursions and much more interesting, in many tourist places we were alone and could walk and take pictures for our own pleasure, no one bothers or pushes! It's nice to drive in Tunica, the toll highways are cheap and empty, the cops don't slow down, when they see you they smile and wave happily. Be yourself friendly and there will be no problems!
Immediately about the pros. More or less decent dinners and well-kept grounds. The photos come out great. That's all.
The hotel was chosen according to one criterion: reviews of tourists. They are the highest. As it turned out, this is the result of a paid PR campaign. Russian tourists are now coming here. In vain. They don’t like Russo tourists here, they try to spoil on the sly. All tearful enthusiasm about the replacement of numbers with presidential ones have no basis. In a half-empty hotel, it was possible to achieve a normal room with working plumbing only after two days. And this is after regular trips to the reception and demands to ensure human conditions of life. Friends were worse. The sewer manhole under the window stank unbearably. At the same time - a lot of free rooms. So we lived with the closed door to the balcony. However, the rest of the French and Italian pensioners are also not particularly favored. There is absolutely nothing for kids to do here. The lazy animator came into view twice in ten days.
The beach and the sea are a different story. The owners of the hotel save on cleaning. The result - between the sand and the water's edge - a five-meter strip of camel dung and decaying algae. It stinks and won't let you in. The dates of May 5-6 began to be removed - a two-meter passage appeared. Anyway, we went to swim at other beaches. These same algae are nailed to the territory of the hotel and the sea is clear only at 7 in the morning. At 9 it's more like vegetable soup. SOUL NO! And is it a five? At best, three with a minus by European standards. Never again here. However, the whole of Tunisia is a country of one-time tourism. The descendants of proud Bedouins and ferocious pirates have degenerated into petty, annoying swindlers who squeeze change and cheat with prices.
By the way, I do not advise you to go with Pegasus. The plane flies to Monastir - it's far, an hour and a half from the airport. And they saw their guide once in ten days.
By the way, about food options, usually (I noticed this with "ours") if a tourist has not paid for an all-inclusive tour, then he is very worried that the checks he signs can be falsified by the staff. At the hotel, the check is pre-punched through the cash desk and on it in the electr. the form indicates the amount, well, plus additionally, the service for the same amount is indicated by hand. Therefore, if the electronic record and the handwritten record match, then the order... If there is a difference, you need to figure it out, maybe a mistake. By the way, no one tries to cheat "ours" there... They value their work very much and do not want problems.
Animators, they are, I saw them, and if you are one of those who cannot occupy themselves, then they are at your service, if you are looking for some privacy, then no one will fool you - live in peace.
And the last reason why this hotel. . . First of all, it is located in the Yasmine-Hammamet area, it is a very modern resort urban area, isolated from the rest of the city (which, by the way, is also not bad), and, as for me, looks a lot like Spanish resort town. And secondly, the hotel is located at the edge of Yasmine Hammamet, in a quiet corner and its territory smoothly passes into the beach, and at the rest of the hotels the beach is separated from the hotel by a promenade along which the public walks, crews drive (and if you are confused by the views of numerous outsiders looking at your cellulite or smiling from your bald head and panties, then you need this hotel as a fairly secluded place).
