Dear travelers! As in my previous reviews, I will try not only to give a review about the hotel, but also to share my impressions and useful tips that will be useful to you on your next trip to Tunisia. After reading different reviews about the hotel itself, the tour operator and aircraft, about the morals of the staff, the kitchen and jellyfish in the sea, about the service, etc. … More ▾ Dear travelers!

“horror stories” - my brains “boiled”, but will my vacation be more or less good, or will the fate of a “deceived tourist” also await me?
Therefore, I will try to make a simple review, without imposing my opinion about the country, and of course about the hotel.
First, why Tunisia.
Due to the appreciation of the euro, trips to European countries jumped sharply in price, and even early booking prices were unreasonably high. "Monitoring" the cost of trips to the sites of various tour operators - they were not pleased with the prices even for Turkey and Egypt. The Turkish hotel, where we rested two years ago for 130.000 rubles, in February-March, with early booking, showed the cost from 160 to 177.000 rubles !! ! Therefore, the cost of a trip to Tunisia for three adults (120.000 rubles for 12 nights) compares favorably with other destinations, and we have not been to this country yet.
The hotel was chosen, according to the reviews of tourists, it turned out to be Dessole Le Hammamet Resort 4 *.
Found out that it is possible to contact a representative of this hotel and ask to book rooms that are convenient for us, indicating our preferences. Which is what I did.
Upon arrival at the hotel, our names were already known at the reception desk, the accommodation director himself came out and confirmed that he had received a request from us. Then I talked for a long time with representatives of the accommodation service, as it turned out that there were no available rooms at our request, and we were given two rooms (we went with friends, two families) 138 and 133. In which we hardly spent one night. The noise from the animation in the evening, the constant scream of water overhead from the central air conditioner, the noise from the pool during the day - made us go to Retsepshin and try to change rooms for us.
The director of accommodation was not there, but the most “puny receptionist”, and apparently the most greedy, at our request to replace our rooms, offered to pay an additional $ 150 for each room. When I refused, arguing that if I paid the tour operator immediately for the "Superior" and then it would be cheaper. Then the employee offered my friend to give his watch for the replacement of the room, to which he received an even more stunned answer - This watch costs more than 500 bucks, absolutely, they say, ofigel !!!
- Call the director or Olga, the representative of the hotel. To which they again received an answer: - Olya is nobody here, and the director also does not decide anything, pay money.
We waited for the director, and he forced the accommodation service to replace the rooms that we originally asked for - away from the noise and on the second floor. They were 611 and 616 rooms. Huge thanks to him for this!
Where we lived for the rest of the time.
First, what we did not like about the hotel.
The kitchen is normal, there were shrimp, and mussels, and tuna, BUT, in order to get them, you had to come early and stand in line. Arriving an hour later, after the start of lunch or dinner, you are unlikely to get them, and instead of them they begin to fry, for example, a turkey.
There were no fruits. Only watermelons and melons, sometimes halves of oranges. On the last day before departure, they gave us grapes.
Strong drinks are not served in restaurants, only wine and beer. The wine tastes better than in Turkey and Egypt, the beer is local, but according to my feelings it seems to be without alcohol. )))
Juices from the machines are a concentrate of the "Jupi" type, it is better to dilute it with water. Freshly squeezed juice costs 4 dinars, at a rate of just under 100 rubles.
Service (room service) - almost none. Yes, they clean it daily, and change the towels and bed linen, BUT…
Towels are changed if you throw them on the floor. For example, there are one or two towels on the floor. It is them that will be changed for you, and you can’t touch the rest. So before you throw them on the floor, watch what time I will clean the room for you, otherwise, when you come from the beach, you will wipe yourself with a towel from the floor. Beach towels are changed every three days.
Bed linen changed in general mysteriously. Having lived for three days, they never changed it with us, on the fourth day, I told my wife, if they don’t change it today, I’ll go complain. Arriving from the beach, a surprise awaited us. I didn’t make my bed, but my wife and daughter made theirs. So they changed my linen, but they did NOT!
Going out for lunch and meeting a cleaning lady who didn’t even speak English, he took her into our room, put 2 dinars (tips disappeared all the time) and explained on his fingers that the rest of the linen should also be changed. Arriving from lunch - everything was changed for us! But our friends don't. He told them about the two magic dinars. My friend Valera caught the same cleaner, gave her two dinars and asked them to change their linen. Changed, but only on his bed!! ! )))))))))))))
And after a week of stay, we already changed all three beds, and at Valera's - when, apparently, he did not leave her a tip. )))
Yes, ants sometimes appeared in the rooms, but this is Africa, I had to put up with it. The rooms are old, but you can live. Hot water from the tap - boiling water, not like in Turkey, barely warm.
And in the evenings sometimes, it was quite cold. At the animation by the pool, many women wrapped themselves in blankets, and the animators jokingly called them Eskimos! As one of the heroes of the popular film said: “Nowhere have I been so cold as in this Africa! ”
Well, the last "flaw" is that we got into "Ramadan". This is a "wandering" holiday, this year it began in July and lasts a month. Therefore, leaving in the evening to the city "to hang out" - almost everything did not work (except for cafes and restaurants). They do not work on holidays, or even places designed for tourists work until 16.00 maximum. This must be taken into account.
Now for the good!
The territory of the hotel is really very pleasant, a lot of greenery, flowers, gorgeous trees, which are almost two hundred years old.
The beach is close. There are plenty of sun loungers with mattresses, but there may not be enough places in the shade. But we got up at 7 in the morning, had breakfast and went to the beach - we always found places for six people. There is a bar on the beach, but from drinks - tea, coffee, juices, beer and wine. You can also have a bite to eat in it, if you are hungry - snacks. Ice cream is provided, but there are always queues for it, and very small portions.
The sea is gorgeous and clear. There were jellyfish one by one, but they did not interfere with swimming. But diving with a mask is no fun - the bottom is flat, sandy. On the first day I caught a crab - I gave it to the kids - so the crowd came running to look. I caught a starfish - again there was a sensation on the beach, but everyone was released back into the sea. Coins and rare shells - that's the whole catch. You can sail early in the morning through two beaches to the right, there are stones and already more interesting marine life and gorgeous shells (at a depth), but at about 9 o'clock boats and scooters appear - and you will already be driven from this place.
Animation acceptable, not particularly intrusive and in Russian. Various artists come periodically, from the "Brazilian show" to "transvestites". Or play with the audience. Some ideas for our local hangouts were taken from them, but it will have to be redone a little, I don’t like contests with a vulgar accent.
All the bars make cocktails, at the lobby bar, on the beach and by the two pools, but the recipe is not particularly followed, if you want the “right cocktail”, order it from the bartender and put in a dinar or a dollar. Everything changes dramatically. There are also fruits, and umbrellas, cinnamon and chocolate with syrup, as well as beer with nuts. One of the bartenders noticed me that I always leave a tip, and even in the evening, sitting far from the bar at the animation, they found me and sent a tray of drinks - beer (with nuts or cheese) for me, and a cocktail for my wife!
About funny.
There were many funny situations, I can’t remember them all now, but I’ll share the special ones with you.
This hotel offers you to visit ONE of the two restaurants "A la carte", we were in both. I just signed up for the first restaurant, said that there would be 6 of us, and my friend for the second and the same six. Sign up in advance, or don't sign up at all, now I'll explain why.
We visited the Tunisian restaurant first. It is located near the second pool, which is smaller, but deep. All the guides praised the local cuisine and recommended us to try Couscous. Naturally, we ordered it as a main course for six. Someone else took the soup, it turned out to be tasty and rich, not like in a general restaurant. A friend's wife ordered veal with some kind of local sauce. They bring her a plate, and in it something is poured with sauce, and on the sides are pieces of sausages that are served to everyone for breakfast. After cutting open the mysterious bulge, the girl discovers that it is just a boiled egg!! ! Having called the waiter, they began to explain that she ordered veal, to which the smiling "restaurateur" stunned her with the statement that she was the one!! ! We laughed. We pecked at sluggish lettuce leaves, we are waiting for the main course.
Bring the coveted "Couscous". Hmm... It turns out to be some kind of dry porridge (according to my impressions - barley) with coarsely chopped carrots and boiled peppers. And on top it is crowned with a huge piece of lamb, which consists of 90% of one fat!! ! Eating it was completely impossible. Our fun intensified, and when they brought us oriental sweets and fruit cuts, we were already “neighing at the top of our voices”. Sweets for six are two pieces of hard halva and some three cookies, and fruit cuts are three small pieces of watermelons, three pieces of melon, four green cream and 4 microscopic pears - completely tasteless !!!
There was no limit to the fun, the visiting visitors asked about the reasons for our joy, and having learned that there was absolutely nothing to eat here, they took at least something fish. By the way, many visitors almost immediately left when they saw what was brought to them, or when they learned that drinks here are all paid.
In general, it turned out to be delicious only ice cream and soup. For wine and two cans of Pepsi and Sprite - we paid 30 dinars + 3 for tea.
We went to the Italian restaurant more savvy, having learned from the neighbors on the beach who had already visited it that the meat dishes there were practically no different in terms of the amount of fat per person from the Tunisian restaurant. And they ordered only fish dishes or seafood in it.
In it, we at least ate a little. The portions are not very large, but everything was tasty, although small. Wine is the same. By the way, a bottle of 0.7 - it contains a table of 25 dinars. We took the same wine in the city, but in the store for 13 dinars.
So to go or not to go to these restaurants is up to you. There is also a fish restaurant, it works in the evening on the beach, and although they also go to it strictly by appointment - even food in it is only for money. There are already lobsters and king prawns, but the price...
Lobster costs 15 dinars for... 100 grams. The weight of an average lobster is in the range of 800-1000 gr. So he will pull on rubles for two or more thousand rubles. For reference, we found out from the local population that in the city the price would be almost two times cheaper.
Once, on the beach, a military patrol boat approached us, and anchored - just opposite our beach - pleased the opinion of one of our vacationers, who, leaning confidentially towards my wife, said: - Do you know why a warship came here? - Yes, Russian fools are staring at us, they have ugly ones of their own! ))))
About the country.
We try not to use the services of tour operators (in this case it was Pegasus), but as I wrote in my earlier notes on other trips, we are looking for local guides, on the Internet and according to the reviews of tourists who visited this country.
On this trip, I already had the phone number of the local guide Fathi Rajhi. He speaks perfect Russian and understands our national humor!!!
Upon arrival in the country, I sent him an SMS indicating the hotel and room number, having communicated with him in advance via the Internet.
He calls you back. And you choose the route you want to visit. To begin with, we chose Carthage, with a visit to hot natural, mineral springs, which rise to the surface from a great depth and pour directly into the sea. Pegasus does not even offer to visit this unique place.
The cost of services at Fathi is standard. A car with six passengers costs $150 for the whole day, or a distance of 500 kilometers. At Pegasus "Carthage" pulls almost $60 per person!! ! And for $ 25 we visited the same thing that Pegasus offers, plus we swam in hot springs, and wandered around the capital of Tunisia - the city of Tunisia.
You can rent it for half a day, the cost will be $75 per car. All the way he will communicate with you and talk about this country, still unknown to an inexperienced tourist, stopping at beautiful places for your photo session, or some kind of shopping.
We did not go to restaurants - "Ramadan", everything is closed, they open after seven in the evening.
Most of all, I was struck not by the remains of Carthage, there is, in general, nothing to see there, but the ruins of the former, as we usually call the “Bath Complex”. This was the palace! Nearby there is a large drawing - the reconstruction of the halls. The height of the ceilings was 30 meters!! ! I don't know why, but it's very impressive!
In the evenings, we went several times to "Medina" - this is the shopping area of Hammamet, but as it turned out, taxi drivers brought us to the "Yasmine" area. The cost of taxi rides is 5-6 dinars, from the hotel 6, move away from it, you can get there for 5 dinars, but keep in mind that after 9 pm they start the night rate. Here, as you bargain, we managed to bring down the price and up to 7 dinars !! ! And they won’t put more than 4 people in a car, so we had to take either two cars or a tuk-tuk. Moreover, the "Old and New Medina" are practically parallel streets. The "old" one goes near the sea, but the amusement park "Carthage" is located on the new one. We have been in it a couple of times. It is more imprisoned for visiting it with children. This is a kind of "Disneyland", which has water slides, children's carousels, museums and a 5D cinema. You can visit it separately in directions. For example: Aqualand and cinema. Lots of options. Choose to your taste.
In general, Medina is a bazaar, but after Yasmin we didn’t want to go to it, everything was bought in stores even cheaper! )))
We also went to the Phrygia National Zoo. A huge territory with practically no cages, and at 11.13 and 15 hours there is some kind of performance. We were on the one that goes in three days - these are sea lions. Two hours is enough for you to see all the animals. But dress so that you don't get burned in the sun.
You can get to it by taxi (again without Pegasus services) for 40 dinars, they will take you, bring you, and I will wait for two hours, payment at the end of the trip. By the way, if you go around its territory on the right - in a circle, you will be offered to feed various animals, starting with deer. It costs 1 dinar. Kangaroos are already going for 2 dinars and so on. The larger the animal, the higher the price, 5.10, 15 dinars. I was especially sorry for the elephant, for 15 dinars they give you slices of a chopped apple!! ! Not even a whole, but what is this piece for that elephant, so he constantly begs, I felt very sorry for him...
About national features.
Hammamet is a city for tourists, so they are not particularly tense in appearance. No one is shocked by a miniskirt, open shoulders or bare knees. Meeting with tourists from Monastir, they learned that there is a more orthodox population, and women and men have to follow a kind of “dress code”.
There is nothing special to buy there. Leather products - only in specialized stores, otherwise they will be deceived. And they will set it on fire with a lighter, it doesn’t seem to burn, but not genuine leather. As experience has shown, the best price for a product is in stores with fixed prices. Even bargaining on the street with the seller and reducing the price by 5 times, going into such a store, you will see that the same product can be bought cheaper. For example, my daughter bought a pair of Tunisian small drums on the beach near the hotel for 2 dinars each, although she asked for much more. In the store they cost 1.5 dinars.
Although in Tunisia schools already teach three compulsory languages - they are just learning Russian, on the street the sellers know a few of the most everyday words, in large stores - no longer, at most: - Hello friend, how are you. Therefore, knowing at least one of the foreign languages contributes to your communication and significantly increases your ability not to be deceived, and to buy goods cheaper! )))
Our wives mostly overstocked local cosmetics and thalasso products.
Not far from the hotel, almost turning left at the first crossroads, about twenty meters away, there is a similar shop where a Russian saleswoman takes any currency for payment, even rubles at 22 rubles per dinar. And it gives a printout about which cream and oils are from what, or what they are needed for.
Well, olive oil, where without it! )))
Yes, alcohol in Hammamet can be bought only in one Bravo store or, as it is also called, Blue Ice (sports center - ice rink). Nowhere else. And even when we entered this store, we did not immediately find this department, since it is fenced off from the main hall - with a TARP!! ! In order not to defile the religious feelings of local residents. What to do - Islam.
Rest satisfied.
The tan is even, brown. My wife and the son of our friends got themselves a "tattoo" of henna. At the hotel, this service costs from 40 dinars, on the street they will do it for 15, but although they promise that the drawing will last at least two weeks, we couldn’t even a week, there are leftovers - dashes and dots that are also about to disappear!
If you have any questions, I will be sure to answer them all. I post a little photo, which I forgot to tell about - then appear in the comments. I hope your holiday goes well too!

But! just in case, I decided to go and see where I was. I looked at the territory - it was pleasant, almost a paradise garden, well-groomed, clean. I talked with passing (at 5-00 !!! ) compatriots (it’s hard not to recognize them), almost half said that they had come to Desole not for the first time, looked at the beach-sea (just a miracle !!! ) and calmed down a bit. came to the room (by the way, very good number 10, not far from the dining room, it is certainly difficult to call a restaurant and a receptionist). Went to breakfast and the storm subsided. Now rating: The hotel is a solid four! Service - five stars! Meals - 4 (Tunisian cuisine is quite peculiar), but fruits and vegetables are amazing in abundance (watermelons in June !!!! ), who really wanted alcohol - an inexhaustible source of very good quality, albeit locally produced, especially coffee liquor, bukh the same not bad, but better in moderation, cocktails are certainly rather weak. Beach and sea - 5+ (only sometimes merchants get it when the security guards hack, a special pleasure is a watermelon in the heat in a restaurant on the beach) Animation for 3+ individual animators are very good (the granddaughter just fell in love with Sasha), but there is no "team", although efforts applied enough! And on the beach and by the pool and during a children's disco! An adult already lacked patience - the time difference let me know. I was very disappointed that there were no toothpicks on the tables! But they are on the counter at the entrance, where they sell fresh! Conclusion: a very good holiday for reasonable money and without meningitis (and we were going to LOO)!

FLIGHT
UIA delayed the flight for 5 hours, unpleasant, but what can you do. As a consolation from UIA - lunch at IL PATIO, located in terminal F. I don’t know who screwed up here - airlines or a restaurant, but in my opinion, self-respecting companies will not feed people like that. The coupon says that the cost of lunch is 120 UAH, which includes: Caesar salad from bitter cabbage and without chicken, but with rotten cherry tomatoes, broth with 2 pasta, but edible and a handful of undercooked pasta with one plate of champignon. It is better not to feed at all than to feed such a one.
Upon arrival, we immediately encountered the cunning of the locals. For helping my elderly mother to ride a suitcase 30 m, they demanded 3 bucks. it would be nice to just ask, otherwise it brazenly demanded. It's just unpleasant.
ROOMS
We arrived at the hotel at midnight. Settled quickly. We bought two separate rooms for my mother and me and my sister, received the keys to 160 and 154. We entered the room and fell into a quiet horror. Damp, wretched, view from the balcony to the wall, (rooms on the ground floor). The bathroom is leaking water on the floor. The second number is exactly the same. Saddened. I read the reviews and was ready for the fact that the hotel was not great, but the smell of dust from the cabinets upset and spoiled the whole holiday mood. In the morning I turned to Lyuba, the guest manager, and we were offered two options to choose from at no extra charge. We chose a spacious two-room suite in the Royal in exchange for our two sad ones. WITHOUT PAYMENT!!! ! All questions on resettlement are decided by the deputy director personally - Fikret, he is Turkish and very friendly and courteous.
Room 1321 is wonderful, bright, the furniture is normal, the elevator is nearby, the view of the small pool. my mother was only annoyed by Arabic melodies in the evenings, obsessively tearing the speakers. We asked to be quieter, thank you, we were heard.
In general, I would like to say a huge thank you to Luba the guest manager. She is just a wonderful, kind and sympathetic person!! ! He resolves all issues immediately and with such kindness that it’s a sin to complain about something! People who are going there, bring condensed milk to Luba!! ! Please a good person!! ! She misses her!!!
TERRITORY
The territory of the hotel is very cozy and compact, very clean, the garden is well-groomed, everything blooms and smells! the staff is friendly.
To the sea you have to walk along a cozy alley, not at all stressful, but rather pleasant and useful.
The beach is large, but it seems that there are not enough sunbeds for all tourists. Sunbeds are booked with striped towels as early as 7 am. The Russian tourist does not sleep!! ! It is not realistic to find a free one at 9, and what is paradoxical is that there are not many people at this time either. One gets the impression that all sleepy ones come running, laying and running away to fill up, and by 11 they crawl... But this is not very sad, we are accustomed to the mentality of Russo-tourist-like Amorale.
FOOD
In the canteen it’s exactly the same, though places are reserved there with panama hats, baby papillae, masks and flippers, etc)))))))))
The food is ok, a bit monotonous like everywhere else, but there is always something tasty to eat. Amazing donuts are fried there for breakfast, I would return to the hotel for them)))))))
And for dinner there is always mashed potatoes and goulash with gravy, just like in childhood. Well, and a lot of other delicious things. upset cucumbers and tomatoes, they are not juicy, hard. probably because they grow in the shade of oases.
I don’t know, many complain, but the food suited me very well, everything is always tasty and clean, and despite the secrecy of our tourists to row grub with basins, everything is always in abundance, including appliances and plates. Someone here wrote that the staff in the dining room makes fun of tourists - nothing like that, everyone is very friendly, polite. All this is nonsense. Everything is fine.
SERVICE AND ATTITUDE FOR TOURISTS
I have already mentioned that everyone is friendly and welcoming. My mom managed to trip and break her arm on the beach. at the reception, without question, they gave a first-aid check, they say, choose what you need. They offered to contact the doctor through the insurance, but they managed with peroxide, betadine and sterile wipes.
Aunts who clean the room are magic-positive! They cleaned well, laid flowers on the bed, fulfilled any requests even without a tip.
The waiters are very polite, they will bring what you ask, maybe not immediately, but they will bring it.
But outside the hotel, the people will be rude. Well, something like that, after the Arabs in Egypt, you are not surprised at anything.
EXCURSIONS
I was in the zoo and the Sahara for 2 days.
Excursion to the zoo does not justify the cost - 54 dollars. Yes, interestingly, there are many animals, their conditions are better than in our Kiev zoo. but it's still a pity to look at them, crocodiles, white tigers, and lions are just frozen and do not even move. Giraffes fall into quitrent - well, it seemed to me, although this temperature and climate are normal for them, but all the less... Meerkats amused me, and guinea pigs smiled sooo much)))) But the dolphinarium definitely corrected the feeling that I wasted my money. The dolphin show is wonderful, I already squealed with delight. Then I ran to take a picture with a dolphin, it costs 25 dinars. But for the sake of touching a dolphin, I would fork another 50 bucks))))
But the Sahara excursion made my vacation rich and full of impressions!! ! I read in the reviews that many go to Tunisia for this, and now I am one of them ! ! I highly recommend to everyone! ! Spare neither money nor time, if you like exotic things go ahead!
The program is full of impressions - the Colosseum in El Gemma, the life and existence of the Berbers in mink houses, their way of life, history - everything is interesting, impressive and informative!
Upon arrival at Duzz for an overnight stay at the hotel, those who wished to go to the desert on ATVs, including me. THIS IS THE BEST THING HAPPENED TO ME!! ! Sandstorm, drive, speed, and JUMP ON A QUAD BIKE FROM A 2-METER DUNE - this is something unimaginable. Thank God that I remained intact))) The cost of this pleasure is 35 dinars
Immediately upon our return, we were taken to the "other" desert. there, those who wished to climbed on camels and went deep into the dunes to see off the sun. Beautiful, and the sand no longer sweeps in the ears and eyes. But my camel was some kind of glutton, every now and then bent over to pinch the thorns, but it was not convenient for me. Sunset in the desert is not just beautiful, it's fantastic!
The next day at 5 in the morning we were already on the Salt Marsh - a salty desert, where we met the dawn - also unforgettably beautiful.
and at 5.30 we were transferred to jeeps and driven....and again extreme, turns along the dunes, steep descents and ascents, unusually beautiful desert landscapes, incl. the legendary Lunar landscape from Star Wars, and indeed, the impression that the pictures of the desert, which I saw since childhood, came to life !!!!
In general, I was completely satisfied!!!
I highly recommend this budget hotel! Sea, sand and climate, exotic and extreme - that's what it's worth going to Tunisia! Bad things are forgotten, but pleasant impressions remain for a long time! And there were more of them!
Have a good holiday everyone!! !

Good afternoon everyone, we had a family vacation in Tunisia for the first time, departure from Sharik Nord Windom, with virtually no delays (the fact that the board was adjusted on time and cleaned, unloaded, loaded, well, let it be delayed for 20 minutes, I don’t consider this a large-scale delay) Board quite clean, the conductors are trying, arrived! No one (Khabib Burgub) managed to pronounce the name of the airport the first time, they laughed, passed passport control quite quickly, pleased the border, like to us in Ukraine, filled out the cards, tore off the spine, led, stamped, next! The road to the hotel from the airport took about 1 hour, 1 hour 20 minutes, but it seemed that we got there faster, since we were a full bus to our hotel. … More ▾ Good afternoon everyone, we had a family vacation in Tunisia for the first time, departure from Sharik Nord Windom, with virtually no delays (the fact that the board was adjusted on time and cleaned, unloaded, loaded, well, let it be delayed for 20 minutes, I don’t consider this a large-scale delay) Board quite clean, the conductors are trying, arrived! The road to the hotel from the airport took about 1 hour, 1 hour 20 minutes, but it seemed that we got there faster, since we were a full bus to our hotel.
About the country, but I was more than 10 times in Egypt and saw the Arab country and the very behavior of the population, and so, it’s not for nothing that Tunisia was once a French colony, all the same, in Tunisia, the Arabs are more educated, which pleased them, they don’t grab the hand, otherwise, that they constantly offer something, so excuse me, this is their temperament, color and, frankly and frankly, we are their money, it is their job to offer us, tourists, all these souvenirs and tinsel, because they live off of us.
We arrived at the hotel, sat down quickly, offered drinks, fed, offered a safe at the reception! We did not expect a fabulous holiday and chic decorations from the hotel, before choosing it, I personally dug the entire Internet up and down to find out about this hotel.
Overall impressions are very good! Those who go for the minuses - you are here, I will immediately list them especially for you:
1) all 7 days there was a dead mosquito on the ceiling and it was never removed (ay, yay, yay)
2) a hotel built in 1968 - the sewage system does not always cope, it happens, but if you tell the reception and the guide it is eliminated in 2 hours
3) a scarf not from Buckingham Palace, in some places it is smeared, if it is chipped off, Ravshash and Dzhamshut worked : ))))))))))))) as best they could
4) after 12 nights at the disco, drinks become paid
Well, that's actually all of the shortcomings that I personally spotted.
And who needs it, they will find even more, because:
The hotel is 99.9% Russian, it is very reminiscent of a sanatorium in the Krasnodar Territory, it amused me personally, our grandmothers are like ours in strawberry dressing gowns from Cherkizon, uncles are pot-bellied, such a torpedo floats, first a navel, and then the whole representative, honestly, had fun from the heart over this .
The room is not very large, but I was pleased with a full-fledged bed for a child, and not, like in most hotels, such an imported "hospital bed" of the extra type. a place. I really liked the chic olive area, it’s definitely immersed in greenery and it’s very, very beautiful (especially for us, who didn’t climb out of Egypt and didn’t see anything in the hotel except sand and the sea)
Animashki are great, the guys are doing their best, thank you all for their work, a special hello to the girls, they are all Russian. language and, accordingly, flock faster and run, swim, have fun, dance in a mini disco and you don’t have to worry about it, that there will be some kind of international scandal, God forbid, if some German boy or girl does not correctly understand a Russian child .
I understand the service staff, about whom they write in other reviews, that they say they have a bad attitude towards Russians, I will say this, in this hotel I would also treat 20 percent like that just disgustingly, as they say "Tagil rules"!
I was really ashamed of the Russians, I'm not a teetotaler, although I go in for sports and mostly have a correct lifestyle, but I also tried beer here on vacation! very worthy, compared to Egyptian, it even looks like ours, with light bitterness, dry wine for an amateur, a delicious pina colada cocktail is made at the pool bar after 20 pm, and so our compatriots, I think having sorted through the local booze (vodka ) or whiskey-cola climb into the pool, start yelling something in a drunken stupor, well, in general, it’s not a pleasant fact, although everyone has long known that after 20-00 in all hotels bleach concentrate is allowed into the pool to disinfect, with us the employee tried to politely reason with the company, which had to fly away the next day, and so they decided to celebrate their departure, picking up a pig squeal and into the pool!
The sea, the sea is gorgeous and the waves and calm, after the red, of course, not rich in fauna, but our child was delighted with the waves, they barely pulled him ashore to warm himself, and he rode on the waves, jumped and he really liked it! The sand can’t be conveyed at all, it crunches under your feet like starch, soft, very cool, but there is also a problem of our mentality on the beach, run at 6 in the morning, take sunbeds, run away to sleep, eat and walk like a king on a sunbed, we came after dinner - the beach is empty, the sun, as in Egypt, does not survive at all, we swam calmly, sunbathed, so we always did not understand the panic about sunbeds at a hysterically early time and now we do not understand! We came to the pool, occupied sunbeds and enjoyed the work of animators in the shade of huge Fukus!
With regards to food, yes, it is difficult to call this eating place a restaurant, but! The food is very acceptable, there were always fruits: watermelons, melons, grapes, plums, peaches, figs! About queues, this is an idiotic habit of our Russian people, to make a queue like in the Mausoleum, even if you don't need mashed potatoes - stop! see everything is worth it! Debelism is complete, I just didn’t pay all attention to it, I went to the right one and took food!
In general, I liked everything, to go, although they write the second coastal one, very close to the beach, if you don’t pay attention to Tagil and the queues, plus, take into account that the hotel is 100% full and in all ours, that the staff cannot physically cope with changing tablecloths everyone that there are always sunbeds on the beach after dinner, the hotel works for its 4 for sure!
In general, the impressions of the country are only positive, the waiters, if you smile at them, they see it, they will appreciate it, believe me, they will treat you better, they are also people and want a human relationship, because you swim, relax, and they work!
Very friendly people work at the pool bar, we gave 1 dinar for tea a couple of times, so they made such delicious cocktails for us, for which many thanks to them!
About the adult disco, that's what shocked us here, so we came at 12 to see what and how, it was a couple of times during the holidays, drunk parents drag very small children onto the dance floor !! ! I'm shocked, everyone smokes there, and it's late, I don't understand how it's possible! We ourselves were with a child, but! we put him to sleep, and we ourselves came to the disco, since there is nothing for a small child to do there, I think! Music is different at the disco from Yuri Antonov to I don’t even know what, Ramstein : ))
In general, like this, there will be questions - ask, I hope at least someone will find my review useful, thanks

Incidentally clean and beautiful throughout the hotel. the beach is not far away (300 meters), the road to it runs along the alley. The beach is amazing and the restaurant is on it too. food at the hotel for a solid 5! cleaning in the room too 5! every day the beds were decorated with bed sheets, towels and fresh flowers, and never repeated! animation during our stay was great. the guys worked during the day in sports programs and in the evening in entertainment shows. Our flight was late. we handed over the rooms at 12 o'clock and took our things to a special room. no one limited us in any way. we had a quiet lunch, spent the day by the pool. took a shower, changed clothes and went to the airport. in general, summing up, it was a wonderful holiday in tunisia! (compare, believe me, there is something)

We were looking for a calm, quiet holiday, but it wasn’t there! We flew more than once to Egypt and Turkey. now the devil pulled to see tunisia. . . desole spoiled the whole impression of this, maybe not a bad country.
1. very far from the airport
2.2nd line from the beach. on the beach, the sand is white, but completely polluted with camel poop. he is led along the line to be photographed. but the camel is resting and doing its business on the Russian beach! and the Russo-tourists themselves are not far behind. the beach is not cleaned. flies prevail with the sunrise. I can't even sunbathe calmly.
3. Russians have a habit of taking sun loungers in the evening. so get up at 6 in the morning, then you can still find a free one. we basically did not borrow. I don't want to be like my countrymen.
4. disco!! ! for lovers of a fun life, from the floor 9 cartoons by the pool, a children's disco, and then an adult one. for those who got up at 6 in the morning, they already want to go to bed somehow, and the children also want to sleep. it was not here! lie down and listen to the music screaming, how loud-speaking Russian-speaking families in full force run behind the doors of the room. You won’t be able to sleep
5. there is no sound insulation. the doors in the rooms shine through, the walls are cardboard. we never changed rooms. in this hotel they changed 3, but they did not find silence.
6. The kitchen can even be said to be adapted for Russians. I can't say anything bad. but we didn’t go there to eat!
7. There are no fish in the sea. no need to take a mask and a tube, this is not Egypt.
8. the territory is large. Garden of Eden, as stated. but we barely found places to take pictures.
9. Excursions - I advise you to take a taxi on the street, drive yourself to the Phrygia safari park. the park is wow. beautiful. True, during the day all the animals hide, go in the morning. in sugar for 2 days is also possible. interesting but tedious. there will be a sunrise in sugar, and a sunset, and an overnight stay in a Berber hotel. and see the scenery for the movie "Star Wars Episode 1-2". And there is nothing else in Tunisia. country for one visit.
9. in general, decide for yourself, friends. for cheerful companies it will be interesting there. who is looking for peace and quiet, give up. for the first time in our lives we were glad that the holiday was over. I do not recommend the hotel.

I am very disappointed with the rest and more angry with myself that I bought into the obviously Pegasus positive reviews and ignored them, as it turned out to be absolutely truthful and too soft, negative ....Positive in this hotel is only the sea and the sand, the sun ....i. e. nature, which our tourists and Tunisians themselves actively pollute. Let me explain. I did not see the Garden of Eden there. It is ridiculous to call such a small area, completely built up with rather ugly buildings, a garden. These are buildings, and between them are plantings of rather old and beautiful trees and shrubs. No more....The photos on the hotel page greatly embellish this place. Hotels nearby are no less green. On the paths you will bypass the hotel in about 10 minutes. The beach is small for such an overpopulated Soviet "hostel" as Dessole, Who has not seen a better sympathy. The awnings had already decayed and were torn before our eyes during our stay.
To take a place closer to the sea, it is advisable to come no later than 5 in the morning. Beachboy actively trades in places, and our natives are happy to encourage his enterprise (they themselves sleep after nightly libations until 11). For 2 weeks, our gluttonous vacationers filled the incomparable, crispy, yellowish sand with all sorts of muck, the children immediately recover next to the sunbeds, absorb food in incredible quantities and throw leftovers into the sand, pouring it all with cocacola, phantom, etc. poison. From here, flies, ants ...I must say right away that the beach is not cleaned at all. No one robs or sifts the sand as in decent hotels of the same level. For 2 weeks of our presence, the beach turned into a garbage dump, it stank of urine, and the beach of the neighboring closed hotel simply turned into a garbage sump. Plastic, napkins, diapers float in the water. It's good that the wave spits out this garbage on the shore.
They put us in a terrible room next to the reception, there was no hot water, we lay down unwashed. All night drunken screaming relatives roamed by. I tried to get a room at the Residence for an extra charge (by the way, only there you can still live). I was refused. The next day for $ 25 I got a room in the main building - smelly, old, and most disgusting - vile animation and drunks by the pool screaming day and night. It was not possible to sleep normally and rest for the entire period. As for food - watermelons and melons are delicious every day, 1 time they gave very sweet figs, 1 time bananas and 1 time peaches. Fat-bellied aunts tried to "stock up" with peaches as in the market for 2 kopecks, so by the end of dinner the peaches were already cut into quarters. Canteen (restaurant is not the right word for this establishment) is not designed for an overcrowded anthill. There are 3 more paid empty restaurants, but this is a la carte pancake. Who needs him in this viper?
Dirt is everywhere and everywhere - greasy, stained plates, sofas and chairs soaked with fat and food, tablecloths on the tables are not changed, but simply turned inside out in front of your nose ...Forks, spoons, cups are always not enough. The Russian redneck public everywhere arranges queues like in a "mausoleum". If you needed only one dish, which, by the way, no one encroaches on, then you won’t get through - the soviet aunt will scold you in full and send you to the end of the line. They go into battle for food as if it were the last battle in their lives. Aunts on the beach stuffed baked donuts into a huge package, apparently they ate in the room under the covers. Many of ours, obviously of bazaar origin, arrived in a crowd of 8-10 people and demanded that the waiters cover the "glade" for them (move the tables) - right there a bottle of vodka ......
As for the variety in food - one table with hot, cakes and pastries with cream, 2 soups, salads are just a mess of everything, delicious tomatoes, real and cucumbers you can eat, olives, olives. Mussels were given, there was tuna, the lamb was very tasty. every day a small bony fish. rarely very tasty fillet fish. Ice cream is given like dogs, one is over, then the next. We don’t eat fruit, so we could never wait for our own ....Quite tasty and satisfying, but such a variety as in hotels of the same class in the same Turkey was not even close ....Drinking - powdered 2 juices, instant coffee , tea bags.
The most important thing that I endured is that getting into a Russian hotel is a great misfortune. Never and never. Once I left the child for children's animation. The child came running crying.
It turned out that at a performance for children, some fat, immense woman swore at a small child for trying to get to the stage when the magician showed the children chameleons. What was this cow doing at the children's performance in the front rows? More child did not want any animation. As for the "contingent", it's just amazing how this hotel got so many rough, uncouth, frankly ugly both externally and internally. As if a special selection was carried out. Decently behaving and worthy-looking was a unit. Basically, the huge "BELLIES", swollen from the fat of the physiognomy, without a certain gender and age moved ....Looking at all this disgrace, it terrifies to what a terrifying state the human race is degrading, it seems blasphemy that the Creator is related to this disgrace ...
Women, if you are not afraid that your men will lose their masculine function forever from seeing such "beauties" or if you want to stand out against their background for comparison, then you can take a chance. In any case, it will be useful - a clear example of how disgusting a person can look who has forgotten about his divine origin and has turned into a screaming, rude, chewing zhirtrest. And how these mademoiselles are packed and pulled into their incomparable outfits - a free laugh room ....I would be glad if my review helps sensible and intelligent people make a choice. Vicious individuals do not try to offend or offend me. I came here once to help decent people make a choice. Your poison does not touch me.. .

Country Tunisia. The country of Tunisia is a must see. Friendly residents, famous bougainvillea, warm and clean sea, perfect sand and temperate climate. Rested in July 2012. , not too hot, it rained three times, after which a rainbow of amazing beauty appeared over the sea. The sea is warm, sometimes stormy, which pleases children jumping on the waves. Very interesting excursions, including the Roman baths, Carthage and, of course, the Sahara. We liked it, because we love an interesting developing and full of rest.
Hotel. It has a green area. Quite large, so depending on the location, the path to the sea may not be short. But I do not see anything negative in a walk in the garden; ) A cozy alley between two first line hotels leads to the beach. They cook something tasty and something not, but varied, so everyone will find food to taste.
Pizza, french fries, sweets, turkey, etc. The fruit is usually watermelon with melon, plum, peach or grape. There are seafood, but the chef probably doesn't know how to cook it - they are overcooked, so it's like rubber. Donuts and pancakes for breakfast - just great. Coffee is frankly bad. The number of rooms is infinitely old. At check-in we gave money, so we were told that the normal room would be the next day, and the night should be spent in another. This "other" was given a choice. The first room was offered on the ground floor, the walls are green with fungus and such a stench that it is simply impossible to be. They refused, gave another, overlooking the animation ...The night did not sleep. The next day we received a normal room, where everything worked, it was cozy and clean. They try very hard to clean, respect the cleaners, because they have a lot of work, but more on that later.
For cleaning, I give the lowest score not because Tunisians do not clean, but because a crazy percentage of visitors litter it so that a flock of Cinderellas can not cope with cleaning.
Now the impression… I'm not the first to write that Dessole means 99.9% of Russians. We were not scared, we are not resting for the first time and did not pay attention to anything. But it turns out the number matters… Every day dozens of Russians come and go to the hotel, so every time on the way to the restaurant through the reception, you hear a loud curse of "vacationers" with employees. Three times a day is a lot  There are always queues in the restaurant. They push, shout, step on their feet. I will repeat, I will repeat, never (!!! ) Any of them will smile or apologize. By some miracle, a family of Italians came to the hotel. At lunch they stood in silence and watched what was happening. Then they went to the reception and since then they were fed only separately.
When I read the reviews, I thought this could not be… maybe!
Every day there is a fight for food, as if it is not enough. It's as if they've been starving for a month or more at home. Stupid. They tried to find an hour when there were fewer people, then they realized that it was useless, because, it turns out, the money for the holiday should be "eaten" and eaten twice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. People never get smaller. Once, standing in line, took the child meat, he was holding a plate. A man standing behind snatching a spoon from his hands. I didn't quite understand what had happened, the child was still standing with an empty plate. Man, looking at me (this is nonsense): "Cho? ! ! What do you not like? "Of course, I did not answer anything, enough meat for everyone, the first wants - let. This is very strange. Honestly, it spoils the rest of any normal educated person. A drunken "vacationer" knocked on the room at least three times a day, looked at me in surprise and said, "Oh, oh, this is not my room. "
In addition, throughout the evening fun, the unfortunate workers one after another catch vacationers from the pool, although it is unclear whether it is so difficult to notice that it can not be cleaned and climbed. Dirty dishes are lying on the paths, benches, bushes and parapets. Cleaners try very hard, but just do not understand. That's why it's not pleasant to walk.
Sunbeds and chairs on the beach are never enough! ! ! ! ! The beach is essentially, like all Tunisian, beautiful. But it is very difficult to have a rest there, because it is still busy at night. Before the trip we were amazed at the photo and thought how beautiful it must be in the tents. For 14 days of rest they could never lie there. They gave money to beach fights to find at least one (for three) deck chairs. There can be no question of finding a place "in the shadows", the whole beach is occupied up to the water.
No matter how much you look to the right and left of the hotel on the coast of Hammamet, this happens in only one hotel - a mini Yalta of the Soviet period, the central beach. Near the German hotel, they watch Desol with amazement and fear. The bar on the beach also feeds pizza, potatoes, salads, melons. A little later ice cream. But I don't even want to describe what happens there after the opening and how long it takes to stand for ice cream. It's a shame, because breakfast has just ended and you can't be so hungry physically. Plastic utensils are carried to the deck chairs and then it spreads by the sea and flies across the beach in all directions. Melon peels are simply wrapped in mattresses. This is no exception, but the usual end of the morning.
Excursion to the Sahara impressed with its charm. Took a tour of the hotel. He looked at us and said, “Oh, it will probably be difficult for you. Don't forget to push your elbows and push forward. "
Well, of course, we did not follow the advice (something I do not imagine in the role of a person who pushes), and the tour began with the fact that a mad crowd was loaded into the bus pushing and climbing almost on their heads. We stood aside, but even there the child received from the aunt-hippo an elbow on the head. It doesn't matter to Russians to hit a child. Calling Tunisians "black" for some reason do not think that he, "black", the child will never be offended and therefore a priori is already on the top step. We sat at the end of the bus where there was room. A woman from another hotel came up to me and although she is from Russia, she said that she categorically does not rest in hotels with a percentage of Russians over 10  )))) She is right! Surprisingly, when we were brought to the camels to watch the event in the Sahara, we saw a hundred camels, there were about 30. So, the guide said come in turn, who's first. The first were all  )) It started as if gold was being handed out.
A very beautiful dawn on the salt lake and of course an oasis is something. You can buy cheap desert roses on the salt lake. On the way home, there is a stop near the store, which sells a lot of souvenirs, oils, etc. Prices are normal, cheaper than buying near the hotel. I really enjoyed the tour. Although it is long, but reasonably planned, and adults and children and the elderly will be able to safely withstand it. But the described nuances usually left their mark. I think it is necessary to be educated, to respect the country, children are only guests, to respect each other and not to disgrace such behavior by the country from which he came. Otherwise, it is a path to nowhere.
Conclusion. Dear Ukrainians, go to Tunisia, see an amazing country. But only in another hotel. We have no place there.

We want to visit Hamam. In Turkey, in our hotel, the price was exactly twice as expensive as they were taken out in an organized way to the SPA center. Is it worth going to another hotel or can I get a SPA procedure on the spot?

(and there are still a lot of documents) Who was at the HAMMAMET DESSOLET HOTEL, "please write back if there is anything like that there?. Resting in Turkey and Egypt - there was nothing like it.
