In principle, all previous reviews are correct, but you can (and should) relax at the hotel. I will add briefly. 1) Russians and foreigners in the hotel in half. The first bathe in the sea, and the second by the pool. Camels are not driven on the beach (only once). The locals do not bother, but they do not buy anything from them, except for handmade camel rugs, which are not available in stores or are very expensive.

The locals do not bother, but they do not buy anything from them, except for handmade camel rugs, which are not available in stores or are very expensive.
2) It is better to take breakfast and dinner (for my taste). Breakfasts are monotonous, but if you cook muesli with halva, stars, honey, nuts for dessert, pour hot milk over it all and let it brew for 15 minutes, then with a croissant - that's it. Dinners are good and nutritious - meat, fish, couscous, etc. Instead of water, I took 3 sprigs of large grapes. At lunch - a glass of tea with two apples. I didn’t feel like drinking at all between meals (! ), You can see the climate is like that.
3) Things do not disappear in the hotel, but it is not necessary to feed the servants for this. I gave a tip to the boy, who promised to replace either the faulty remote, or bring a large and flat TV - I'm still waiting. Similarly with the "swans" on the bed - they did it once, gave it personally to the maid, after that the "swans" ended before the departure.
4) Shops are located on two parallel streets. Closer to the sea there are shops without price tags, further from the sea (where the medina is) - shops for Russians with fixed prices. Lovers of magnets - immediately go down the far street, 20 meters from the waterfall there will be a small store-warehouse, where all the walls are hung with magnets for 1 dinar (the largest selection in the city).
5) From excursions do not be stingy with the Sahara, otherwise you will not see Tunisia itself. Tune in in advance that the prices are too high (but not every day we visit the desert). On the way, the guide will offer to buy dates from "grandfather Saleh" for 10 dinars per 2.5 kg. Dates in cardboard boxes, not completely dried, and upon arrival home (a week later) there were worms in them (wash and dry! ). But the dates from the peasant who offered them on sticks near the museum were 2 times cheaper (1 dinar 500 g, 2 dinars 1250 g) dry and without worms. Only few people took these dates, because the guide said that tomorrow there would be "grandfather Saleh". But, if you need a good gift for the right person, then it is better to take 1-2 more factory-made boxes of dates in the Joyce store. For the price it is more expensive (about the same as ours), but the guarantee of quality and will not be ashamed because of the worms.

I bought a tour to this hotel from the operator at the suggestion of "FARTUNA", the name Olf Las Palmas 4 * became known the day before departure and, of course, after reading all the previous reviews, we were preparing for the worst. Upon arrival, it turned out that El Olf Las Palmas 4 * is the Dar El Olf 4 * hotel, turned out to be the very first on the way from the airport. The hospitality of the staff smiled from the first minutes, the rooms were shown to choose from, the check-in was quick and without surcharges.
The hotel itself is on the second line, has two entrances, from the beach to the nearest 200 -250 meters. The hotel has its own section of the beach, at the reception you must first submit an application so that sunbeds and umbrellas are put up for you.
Food - the buffet is not super varied, about 25 - 40 dishes, everything is fresh and tasty.
The contingent of vacationers on our arrival was mostly French, British, a few pairs of Poles, there were no Russian speakers except us. The staff communicates in French and English in Russian "not purrs" at all.
Almost all or the entire number of rooms is oriented with windows to the pool. Double rooms are not cramped, good balconies with armchairs, a spacious bathroom, a washbasin in a large marble slab, a narrow bathtub, taps are inconveniently located and a shower head is suspended))), there is no hair dryer, everything else worked more or less.
Bazaar, shops, restaurants - everything is within walking distance, there is where to roam and shop. Start your price research with fixed price stores.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND a 2-day excursion to the SAHARA, it's just bombesio!! ! $135 per person On the way, the tour passes through the Colosseum on the territory of which there is a shop with souvenirs and all sorts of junk (metal products, ceramics), in it you can find very exclusive things that you will not meet again along the route not in Hammamet.
TOTAL: the tour cost up to $600 for two, ALL inc, with an 8 night flight at the end of May. For such money it's just class!

The hotel is not intended for recreation!! ! Hello! We stayed at the hotel in October. We arrived at night and were seated quickly. When we went to breakfast in the morning we were horrified. I have never seen anything like this before - there is a "stick" of boiled sausage in mica and a knife next to it. Like: "Do you want sausages? Cut yourself! " Boiled vegetables: carrots, potatoes, etc. are not peeled at all, but are cut, like feed for pigs. Fresh cabbage shredded with black dots. This breakfast killed me. I thought that now I'm going to die of hunger here. There is no variety of dishes: chicken, turkey, small bony fish and so every day, then everything is stewed, then boiled. This went on for a week. Suddenly, one fine day, and it was Saturday, everything changed: here you have 2 types of pizza and soups for dinner, and you can’t choose dishes. We thought this was due to the invasion of local residents on weekends (every weekend, from Friday to Sunday, local residents hang out with their families in the hotel - this is their weekend tour and such residents recruited 30-40% of all tourists), they say, ashamed of their then feed with slop, but no, it turned out that the owner had arrived. So, while the owner was there, the food was still tolerable, at 3 *. Oh, and also, when the food tray runs out, no one is in a hurry to replenish it, until you shout a hundred times with obscenities, they don’t bring it. Now further, the bar, which is on the beach, we did not notice at first, since we saw only a small hole, such as a window without glass, in a long barn under the roof. And then they realized that it was in the "barn" that they give out drinks, in a plastic cup: water, fanta, cola and that's it. . . Moreover, it literally ends in 2-3 hours and after lunch everything is already closed, and after a couple of days the "bar" stopped working altogether. The same thing happened with the pool bar, only it did not work until lunch, and by 15.00 it was already closed and there was always no one there, and after a couple of days it closed altogether. All these disadvantages of the hotel were explained to us that it was not the season. But for some reason, all normal hotels worked in full. The bartenders were reluctant to serve, were absent for 5-10 minutes at the workplace, were rude. Crockery, especially cups and glasses, not washed and chipped. In general, a piece of glass stuck into my heel by the pool, we show the animator that small pieces of glass are in the seams of the tiles, and he blew them into the grass and that's it, right, otherwise people don't walk barefoot on the grass. This is such a disregard for tourists. Animation is also non-existent. And the last thing that just killed me was the fact that on the last day of our stay, a film crew arrived to shoot an advertisement for the hotel and then a miracle! They opened all the bars and even on the beach there was not a window in the barn, but the whole barn. And they brought drinks, they made cocktails, but of course nothing broke off for us, everything was for advertising, and we sat like monkeys and looked at this miracle for which we paid, but we didn’t see anything. After the shooting, everything was immediately closed again. That was a circus, even if they didn’t disgrace themselves in front of tourists! Like, buy stupid tourists vouchers to our hotel and everything will be like in advertising, and you will arrive, and there is a barn on the beach and sausage boiled in mica with a knife lies with rotten unpeeled vegetables for breakfast. If you are already going to Tunisia, then don’t take this hotel, it’s better to take the Zodiac 3 * hotel, it’s 100 times better and cheaper for money (according to tourists from this hotel). El Olf Las Palmas 4 * hotel is unsuitable for tourists There is still a lot of bad things to write about this hotel, but I think the listed disadvantages are the most important.

We picked up a decent three-ruble note at the My Planet travel agency. The hotel is like a hotel, the second line, there is a swimming pool. Walking distance to the beach is okay. The hotel is like a hotel, the second line, there is a swimming pool. Walking distance to the beach is okay. There were some misunderstandings with food. A little late for dinner and there is simply no meat or fish. It was depressing, they complained. But then a miracle happened, some local television arrived, and for three days it became simply gorgeous. I have never seen such chic in a three-ruble note) It's 100% straight window dressing. The service at the hotel is lazy, then they forget to clean up the room, then they won’t change the towels, then they won’t hang up the TV when it’s over) The waiters are just lazy, you have to beg for drinks for a very long time (although they are all-inclusive), I would have poured it myself faster, but you can’t they have it)
In sum, the hotel is a good trio, but . . lazy service, do not be late for dinner, lunch and breakfast, otherwise there will be nothing to eat, drinks on the all-inclusive system have to wait a very long time.
The location is good, not far from the beach, there is a pool.
Now it looks like he has already given a four)

First of all, a little about myself, close to 20, an adherent of multiculturalism, a lover of ethnicity and everything authentic. I have been to many countries: Europe, Asia, the Caribbean, mostly 4 or 5 star hotels, I am loyal to different conditions of rest, the priorities are as follows: clean room and good room service, beautiful beach and friendly attitude, interesting culture.

There was no such thing as travel planning, the choice was made in conditions of complete time pressure one day before departure. The hotel was chosen based on the availability of a room, and what is there to hide - a relatively reasonable price for the tour.
About Hotel El Olf
The hotel definitely does not pull on any star rating, on the strength of 2 stars. The rooms are run down, each room has a few faults: mine was the sink, air conditioner and WC. If you are placed overlooking the pool, which is likely if you are young and do not have children, then hang on. From 21 o'clock animation begins, from which everything in the room vibrates. And it is identical from day to day, with stupid stupid music. I could not change the number, the reason: there were no free rooms in the other wing. Therefore, every day from 21 to 23 hours I tried to be outside the hotel, on Saturday until 2 am. During my stay, some people complained about cases of theft. This is a child's mobile phone, or a player and other trifles. Tip: at the slightest suspicion, not hoping that you could leave somewhere, contact the police.
About nutrition
The hotel has plastic food. Tasteless, monotonous and rather stale. On the advice of friends, did not take "all inclusive". There is nothing to drink except carbonated slag, too. The tablecloths are gray, there are no napkins, the staff in the so-called restaurant, and the dining room, in the worst sense of the word, is inadequate to check. Prices for drinks are thought out on the go, the goal is to make money on tourists. Surrender is sometimes simply not brought. Appliances are dirty, in short supply, plates too. Fruits, and these are rotten peaches and apples, are sorted out at the moment of opening. I advise you to walk to the embankment and for 20-30 dinars enjoy really delicious cuisine and a rosy attitude. NB: Be on the lookout for cafes in the Medina, the prices on the menu don't match what you get in the end. Having ordered three mojitos, they rolled out the bill for 10 dinars more under the pretext that they made us mojitos, just think about it, middle-iced. To be honest, after visiting Cuba, such a wording is still a mystery to me, 2 ice floes did not pull not only for a mojito, but just for a chilled drink, and the sweet, caustic green soda was simply terrible. Every visit to a fixed price store and restaurants requires focus and calculation. This is especially true of the supermarket next to the RElax cafe, the first from the side of the hotel. Prices are not indicated and each time an extra 7-15 dinars were withdrawn on a check. It is worth walking two meters and visiting the second store, the owner is a nice woman, everything is more or less honest here.
About the audience of the hotel
During the stay, the main audience was French, and most of them were disabled and downs. The attitude towards Russians is unambiguous - frankly boorish and dismissive. At first she spoke only English, but after hearing how I communicate with Russians, the stay became simply unbearable. During dinner, they didn’t let us eat - in their opinion, we took the places of the French, during the evening we received dozens of invitations to enjoy alcohol in the company of waiters. Animators are not familiar with the concept of sexual harassment, they may approach an unsuspecting tourist and start massaging their shoulders or legs. More unfortunate sisters, unfortunately, were tried to pull off their swimsuit or take them to a secluded corner in the shade of palm trees.
Beach or microBITCH (that's right, not Beach)
This hotel has the smallest beach, and quite dirty. Torn banners, designed to protect the area from other beaches, fluttered in the wind. I found it only on the fourth day, and then only because the security of another hotel realized that I was a stranger. The beach is a daytime fiesta place for all the locals. They shamelessly occupy free sunbeds. Sunbeds - ancient, failed, they are in short supply. Special mention deserves a beach guard in a long-no longer white T-shirt with holes. On the 7th day of my stay, he very impolitely asked to show him the keys. Further, all the remaining days, he performed this ritual. Beach vendors are arrogant, making it difficult to lie quietly on the beach. I didn’t pay attention, I saved the player, the book and my friends. When entering the sea, be careful: the entire coast is a sewer, the result of the life of camels and horses. If you are with a small child, then you will spend your entire vacation making sure that a passing camel or horse does not crush your child.
Room cleaning
The only positive thing about El Olf was good room cleaning, for which I deliberately and invariably left 5 dinars (100 rubles). It was a kind of payoff with the hope that my creams, cosmetics and clothes would not attract the attention of the maids. These hopes were not destined to come true - one day, running into the room during the day and making sure that the card with the formidable “do not disturb” was posted, after 5 minutes I saw a maid who slipped into my bath for an unknown purpose. Moreover, she did not have the necessary props for cleaning. Then a silent scene, when asked what she was doing, she did not receive an answer. Since then, expensive cosmetics have been added to the camera, money and documents on a turnkey basis in a suitcase.
Tunisia, or *opa of the world
After a two-week stay in the country, I realized one thing - Tunisia is not ready to receive tourists. The mentality is not the same, the infrastructure is lame. Everywhere there is dirt and a fetid smell, aggression in the eyes of the local population, if you extremely politely refuse to visit the store and outright hatred for everyone. Even the sea does not save her, in the afternoon - it is covered with algae. It may be useful for the figure, but visually and tactilely unpleasant. In my ranking, Tunisia is an anti-tourist country.

It takes 7-10 minutes to go to the sea (second line), there is nothing interesting on the beach, there are no free drinks promised to you, or at least just water. In addition, these * beach-fights * were constantly chasing, because. we did not go into our territory, but into the territory of other people's hotels. (the territory of the hotel Las Palmas - with gulkin's nose).
As for the animation, I would put 3-, a complete nightmare and monotony! The same songs are played all day long, the same dances are their * signature *, stupid contests, no discos. So in the evening, after dinner, it is better to leave the hotel territory, otherwise the animation team will simply forcefully pull you onto the stage and force you to do all sorts of nonsense.
What I liked most was a two-day excursion to the Sahara, it's really a worthwhile activity : )

After 23:00 in the evening until 7 in the morning, even plain water cannot be drunk anywhere. The hotel does not correspond to 4 stars, even 3. During our holiday, Russian tourists constantly dealt with the hotel administration about poor service (food, queues, etc. ). Rest in this hotel is unacceptable for Russian tourists!! !
