Rested from mid-May to June 2010, the hotel Caribbean World Sun Garden.
I did not want to leave, 11 days still turned out to be not enough, although in the middle of the vacation I really wanted to go home. But everything is in order. Arrival - departure all on schedule, without delay. From Ufa it was the first direct flight to Monastir. From Monastir by bus to Hammamet 1.5 hours. Delivered to hotels, we were the first, so not very tired. The girl who met us at the airport and escorted us to the hotel, to put it mildly, didn’t like it, she didn’t tell interesting things, she didn’t answer questions willingly, sometimes in raised tones. We dropped off at the entrance, met another girl Yulia there, she explained everything to us, sent us to the restaurant (arrived at the hotel at about 14.00) to have dinner, warned about the information meeting. The room was given on the top floor, we were two families, they asked us to give two rooms next to each other with one balcony, they gave it without any problems and at no extra charge.
My family was abroad for the first time, and therefore there is nothing to compare with. The room is normal, only the shower strained, because after taking it you had to collect water from the floor, which leaked during its use. The room has a TV, almost never used, hair dryer (also not used), air conditioning (didn’t understand if it was any use). The room overlooked the garden, the view is quite picturesque. Quite tolerable, especially since we only spent the night in the room. We did not leave a tip, as it seemed to me, just for nothing. The food is varied and for every taste (as it seemed to us at the very beginning): meat in various versions, fish, a lot of fruits, delicious pastries. I especially didn’t like breakfasts, by the end of the trip we thought that we would start clucking, from the fact that every breakfast had scrambled eggs and boiled eggs. You can eat and drink if you wish, all day long, something is always open and cooked somewhere. The metro hotel in the restaurant is attentive, courteous.

Our hotel was located on the second line of the beach (Garden), the sea (Hammamet Beach Hotel) could be reached either by train (we managed to drive twice, because it was not always there), or on foot. I was quite satisfied with the walk - walk for 5 minutes at most. The sea is excellent: clean, transparent, warm. The sand is clean, sunbeds are always enough. The only negative is the strong wind, for all our stay I don’t remember a day when it was calm. Because of this, once again you can’t swim in the sea, because when leaving it, you had to wrap yourself in towels so as not to freeze. We could use one bar on Hammamet Beach, that was enough for us. The pool on the territory of this building is excellent, there are enough slides.
In our Garden there were mostly French and Italians, they didn’t practically understand Russian, on the beach the bartender and one of the animators spoke Russian, the rest knew a few words: halaso, plump, freebie, good morning (it bothered me a little) On the excursion we didn’t go – so let’s say we are passive tourists. Only a couple of times they themselves got out to Old Hammamet in the medina and Yasmine. There by taxi (about 5 dinars) back on foot. In Medina, they bought magnets, souvenirs, after which they called us Russian Banditos, because they bargained well, but if we first visited Yasmin, then we would not buy anything in Medina, because the prices there are so high that even after bargaining we bought expensive.
The worst part of our trip was the trauma of our child. It all happened during the presentation of the animators (Garden), as we later understood, the sketch was shown by two main animators, so to speak, chefs.
On the stage, a fight was played out with wooden sabers, in one of the blows a piece of the saber flew off and hit my child in the eyebrow (I note that we were sitting in the auditorium, somewhere in the middle). They didn’t immediately understand what had happened, but when they ran out into the hall, they saw that the child’s eyebrow was cut, blood was flowing, the daughter was in hysterics, almost half of the hall watching the performance came out behind us, many offered and provided first aid to the child. The doctor was called to the reception. The doctor arrived minutes later. 30, examined, said that it was not necessary to sew up, glued a patch, left after saying that we owe him 40 dinars. The husband refused to pay, because the injury received by the child was the fault of the animators. To which the doctor was very offended and promised that we would have problems.

The next day, we waited until lunch for our Russian-speaking girls (Julia and Kristina) in order to find out who and how will pay for the doctor's call and whether those who caused the child to be hit would apologize to us and our child. The conversation took place only after we wrote a claim and asked to bring it to the director of the hotel, the claim was of course accepted, but now no one will know whether it was transferred to the director, and whether any penalties were applied to the animators. I note that while we were waiting at the hotel for half a day, all the animators, with the exception of those two Samurai, came up to us, asked how we were doing, tried to play with the child. At the end of long clarifications and demands to arrange a personal meeting with the director, we were told that the director would only come on Monday at 20.00 (it all happened on Friday). Toli so coincided, roofing felts at the reception knew the day of our departure (Tuesday morning), but the meeting never took place.
The only thing that the conversation with Yulia and Kristina led to was that the "eagles-animators" apologized, while they continued to smile and laugh (either they really did not realize what they had done, or they just …….. ) as a result: the child in the last days of the vacation could not swim and wet the wound, we have a spoiled mood, oblique and dissatisfied looks from the reception (mainly from Russian speakers) A big “thank you” to them for such support.
