First of all, please note that this is a very subjective review of a tourist who:
a) not once rested in Turkey and once in Egypt.
b) visited Tunisia for the first time and in a 3* hotel.
c) got to the end of the season, when IMHO everywhere the staff was "tired" of vacationers.
The choice fell on Bel Azur Thalassa 3 *, because "everything is like in a five-star hotel, only without a towel and a refrigerator" + "the general infrastructure of the Bio Azur Thalassa complex. " Why pay more? For an additional 50 c. u. you will be offered a sea view. Probably, it was possible to bargain, but I did not. Therefore, the vigilant conscience of the manager on duty made us "give" us 2 cocktails and a basket of fruit. And then!

It should be noted that the hotel (and the whole complex) is not for youth. A contingent with a clear predominance of age ladies. Many come for thalassotherapy, Russian-speaking about half of the vacationers. There are many Germans and French who come here not for the first time. The staff is polite. I did not notice discrimination against "Russians", however, I prefer to speak with the staff in English, almost everyone understands it. They speak Arabic (? ) and French among themselves.
For discerning tourists I will say: three stars are three, not five. No matter what they say. Hotel Bel Azur Thalassa 3 * saw once and better times, redecoration was needed the day before yesterday. Cleaning in the room is not a fountain (despite 1 td for tea), for a tip you get flowers in bed and a bedspread laid in a special way and not the best cleaning at all. If you say to change the towels - they will change, do not say - then they will remain the same.
But on the other hand, (if not to quibble, but to rest) food at the level of the average five in Turkey (adjusted for half board. Lunch at a restaurant on the side (for example, 350-gram grilled sea bass) will cost 50-60 t. d. , in a local restaurant 10-12 thousand pizza or 6 thousand French fries), a large well-groomed territory of the complex and an excellent park, warm sea and exotic North Africa. What else do you need for a romantic trip?
True, during the indicated period (at least this year) it was quite fresh (and in the water too), out of 7 days, only 2 did not storm the sea. But that didn't stop us from having a great time!
So, in general, you can relax completely. But there are nuances. . .
We did not like, like many, the host travel agency. First, the guide on the bus said that "there is practically no crime in Tunisia. " For which, having relaxed, several of our compatriots paid the price. Some of the wallets left in the room were robbed of all large bills (there is a safe at the reception 1 td. per day, the hotel is not responsible for the safety of things in the room). But here, at least you can ask: why did they tempt the maid? Another incident took place in the Medina in Tunisia. One girl had 2 chains with pendants torn from her neck in broad daylight. Local merchants pretended that nothing had happened. The guide "froze" and did not take any action...

Secondly, there are no Russian-speaking guides on excursions to Carthage (and not only). Go, they say, see for yourself, what else is there to tell? I won’t even talk about the punctuality of the host workers...
I also didn’t like that the beaches (at all hotels) were cleaned poorly, the garbage was simply buried in the sand.
And yet Tunisia must be seen! Just be cheerful, but alert. And don't let anyone ruin your vacation! Good luck!
For reference: the rate is 1 USD = 1.4 etc.
1 EUR = 1.8 etc.
