It all started with a desire to escape somewhere where one could forget. At least once a year for at least 2 weeks, but we deserve it! We work diligently and diligently all year to allow ourselves to live these 2 weeks the way we want it! Just like us and no one else!!! ! 2 weeks a year we deserve silence, calmness and regularity!
For them, we went to Tunisia. Week of painful choices of the country, city and hotel. Outcome - o. Gera and the Carribian World Djerba Thalasso 4 * hotel, 13 nights, 14 full days, the total cost is slightly less than 80 thousand rubles.
So, in order:
Flight.

Departure was from Domodedovo on June 24 at 4-25 am. The flight was delayed for an hour. But, to be honest, it didn’t bother me much, because. we won’t lose a day of vacation anyway, and even with a sleepless night it’s all the same. Flying with Tunisian Airlines. We used them last year when we went on vacation to Tunisia, however, to the mainland, so we didn’t expect much. We were pleasantly surprised that this time we were fed breakfast (last year there was only a sad bun and a glass of cola), and here an omelette, a bun with butter and a muffin are luxury by their standards, however. Fly 5 hours. Arrived calmly. The people were mostly asleep. There were even empty seats on the plane, which remained a mystery to me, despite the fact that the flight to Djerba from Moscow is only once a week.
Airport and transfer.
We arrived at about 7-30 am local time (-3 hours from Moscow). The airport is completely empty. Our flight was the only one that worked for us - we passed passport control without any problems and got our luggage. At the exit from the airport, we were met by representatives of the Grand, checked the voucher and called the bus number.
Nothing to go to the hotel. We got there in 20-30 minutes (taking into account the waiting time for late tourists). According to the account, our hotel was the second one we visited.
Settlement.
In addition to the reception, the animation team met us at the hotel, brought non-alcoholic cocktails, put on all-inclusive bracelets while we filled out check-in cards. I pay tribute, the cards are even translated into Russian, for some this is very important.
Despite the fact that the check-in was supposedly at 13-00 at 8 am, they were ready to give us rooms - to everyone without exception. And the run was very big. We got a room in the main building number 3123 overlooking the mini golf. When we entered the room a little upset - it had not yet been cleaned. We were escorted to the room by a member of the animation team - which is extremely strange for me. I have never seen this anywhere. When he saw that the room was not cleaned, he immediately called the maid who was cleaning the next room, she dropped everything and went to clean ours. After making sure our room would be ok, he vanished without even taking a tip. While we were doing the cleaning, we went to have breakfast and explore the territory of the hotel - it's huge!!!
Number:

The room is large, bright and spacious. We traveled together, there was more than enough space for us. In the room there is a general air conditioner, even in the heat it coped, however, it was set to the minimum temperature. Two large one-and-a-half beds pushed together, 2 bedside tables, mirrors, a table, an armchair, a bedside table with a TV, a mini-fridge (when checking in, they gave 3 bottles of water (plain, cola and sprite) as a gift), then you could easily replenish them at the bar ), big wardrobe. Separate bathroom. The bath is large, it was a bath, not a shower, a large mirror, a sink. The toilet has a bidet. Everything worked properly, nothing leaked, the bulbs did not burn out. Small problems were with towels. In theory, if you want them to be changed, you had to leave them on the bathroom or sink, but we were changed every day, although it was unnecessary. True, on what basis they change them, we did not understand. It happened that when you came to the room to relax at lunch, the room had already been cleaned, but there were no towels. Found a way out. They cleaned 2 towels in the closet, and if new ones had not yet been put in by our arrival, they used from “our stock”. Cleaned up every day. Everything was clean, although we brought a lot of sand from the beach. When the bed linen was changed, we also did not understand, it was always fresh. Nothing was missing in the room, although they left a camera, phones and a laptop. We didn't take the safe, but it's there. Each room has a balcony. On the balcony there are two chairs, a table and a clothes dryer, very convenient!
Territory:
The territory is very large, confusing, but interesting, until the last day we discovered more and more new places, there is where to take a walk. Gardeners try from dawn to dusk. Given that the island itself is deserted, it is an island of greenery. The hotel itself stands out from the rest. All white, but ours was painted yellow and orange.
Infrastructure:
The description of the hotel said 3 pools. In fact, we counted 4:1 - central, 2 - with slides, 3 - indoor, 4 - open with sea water. Somewhere in the reviews I read that there is another indoor one with sea water in the thalasso center, although I myself have not been there, I have not seen it. There are several bars in the hotel, I personally counted 5. One each near the main pool and the pool with slides, 2 in the hotel, and one on the beach, the bars are located so that they can be quickly reached from any part of the hotel.
4 restaurants: 1 all inclusive for all, one Chinese, one Italian, one Tunisian. In the last three, it was possible to dine 1 time by prior appointment at the reception. There are 2 ATMs at the entrance to the main building, I didn’t use it myself, but they seemed to work. Exchanger - at the reception. The course is the same throughout the country, so you won’t lose anything when exchanging for a receptionist. Keep exchange certificates so that you can change the currency back, because. the export of the national currency is prohibited. In the central part of the hotel there is a shop, there are souvenirs and goods for the beach. Wi-Fi in the hotel lobby is free. I didn’t catch it in our room, I don’t know how the others do.
Service:

Everyone is very friendly, trying to please, there were no complaints. Of the minuses: the reception does not speak English (French, German, Arabic, even a little Russian, but English is hard), in any case, they try to understand and help you with everything you need. And the second minus, which I noticed, is a little (! ) Dirty. In some places, cigarette butts were observed (but, you see, if you don’t scatter them, then they won’t roll around! ), Strained a broken glass, neatly set aside, which stood throughout the day. But there are many children of different ages, they could get hurt. The waiters, bartenders in the restaurant are friendly, helpful and unobtrusive. We always sat at the same table and got used to us so much that they specially “booked” this table for us, they brought drinks themselves, although they didn’t leave a tip. I think that if you yourself are friendly and smile, then the attitude towards you will be appropriate! There was no discrimination based on nationalities, everything is in order of a first come first serve! And if you also return the glass to the counter after you have had a drink, they are scattered in gratitude!
The food is amazing:
Breakfast is classic. Always and everywhere the same. Eggs in various forms, sausages, chicken, rice, vegetables, pancakes, waffles, gorgeous muffins, bread, buns (bread of the highest taste and quality, you could only eat it, it was so tasty !!! ! (well, why we don’t have this??? ), everyone bakes right in the restaurant, desserts, fruits (during our stay, they ate melons, watermelons, peaches, nectarines, pears, plums, cherry plums, dates, apples, apricots). and instant, tea (to be honest, I didn’t like it because of the specific taste of their water, as I understand it, they have desalinated sea water or just restored), hot chocolate.
Lunch is always varied. There is everything and for all tastes. Always available Italian cuisine (pasta, pizza, lasagna), 2 types of soups, meat, chicken, fish, everything is very tasty and fresh. What pleased us is that vegetarians will also be free there. There is always a choice.
Dinner is beyond praise! I can’t even describe all the variety of dishes! Always struggled with the choice, just sooooo much and everything is delicious! On Thursdays - national evenings, a wide variety of national dishes are presented. Honestly, I don't like them, but I've never been hungry. With vegetables, except that tension. Tomatoes are not very tasty, there are no cucumbers at all, but sweet carrots, beets, salads.
Desserts - they deserve special attention! I have never seen so many anywhere! Several types of baklava, meringue, puddings, cakes and many, many, many, many more! The tables just broke! There is also ice cream, but I didn’t want to eat it, judging by its appearance, it contains so many dyes that you are afraid to turn blue or green yourself...
The drinks. Beer and wine are delicious. Water - I wrote above, I did not like it. Juices are powdered, as elsewhere. Normal were pineapple and strawberry, lemon (excellent thirst quencher, because I could not drink their water).
Entertainment.

Everything you want is here. Boccia, darts, table tennis, mini golf, volleyball, water sports, horse riding, camel riding, competitions, competitions. The animation team works hard from morning to night (are they human at all? I don't think they sleep at all. . . ). Those who prefer a vegetable holiday, like us, can go in peace. By the arms, by the legs, as in Turkey, no one will pull you anywhere. For the French, a separate animation.
I took horseback riding. We went to a wild beach to swim on horseback. Paid $30 for one. In theory, the walk lasts 2 hours, but the ride was 3.5, no one took a surcharge. Nothing compares to a walk along the beach on a horse (it remains a mystery to me why they only have horses, for 2 weeks they didn’t see a single horse). Upon arrival, emotions hit over the edge! Memories for a lifetime!!!
Excursions.
The island is very small, only 500 square kilometers, the population is about 10 thousand people, so there is nowhere to travel much. They offer the following: 1 trip on a pirate ship, crocodile farm, Sahara for 3 days, sightseeing tour. We took only a survey, the cost is $ 20 per person. The tour is short, the bus is air-conditioned, so you can travel with children. We visited: the Roman road (connecting the island to the mainland), the museum of local life, the ancient synagogue, the essential oils shop, the fixed price shop, the Medina. Everywhere at a gallop, but everyone managed to see. The tour, in fact, was taken to buy souvenirs, because there was nothing close to the hotel within walking distance.
Beach.
The beach and the sea are clean, the sea is 33 degrees. In the morning the sea is calm, in the evening it storms, during a storm it throws algae ashore, but when we came to the beach in the morning, they had already been removed. When we changed umbrellas for new ones, although, in my opinion, it was not at all useful. Of the minuses, you need to take a place on the beach early in the morning, there are clearly not enough sunbeds. Beach towels can be taken by filling out a receipt at the reception, they give you the required number of cards, but you can get towels in the animation house near the pool. You can change and return them at any time. Towels are given without a deposit and free of charge, just on receipt. When leaving, you just need to return the cards.
For children.

This is a children's paradise! You can safely go there with the smallest children (there were even babies), everywhere there are ramps for strollers. There is always something to feed, the restaurant has a separate table with children's food, high chairs are available, the waiters bring them themselves. The restaurant has a children's area, where cartoons are projected onto the wall. Animation for children is chic, they are constantly engaged with them! They are generally very, very fond of children. And, of course, slides!! ! Here I think comments are useless. Let me just say that just next to the slides there is always an animator who monitors safety and order. For the little ones, there are paddling pools, mushroom fountains, etc. The entrance to the sea is smooth, gentle, the sand is soft, without stones, what is needed for children.
Flight back.
We got to the airport, checked in our luggage, went through passport control, metal detectors quickly and without problems. Duty free is available, but small. It was opened specially for our flight, because we did not see anyone else at that time. But there are few people and no problems. You can pay in both euros and dollars. True, in my opinion, it was better to buy everything in Moscow, we still have more choice.
The flight was delayed for 30 minutes with no reason given.

And then the fun began. It took 5 hours to fly, the time was late, everyone was tired, it was quite difficult, especially with small children. It was shaking quite strongly, once even the lights went out, constant turbulence. And without that it's scary, especially for those who are afraid to fly, so ours and this is not enough ! ! It was very embarrassing for our fellow citizens who staged a drunken brawl on board!!! ! If you, after drinking, do not know how to control your emotions, then do not drink! Everyone is very happy that you had a great rest, but do not spoil the impression of the rest of the rest! 3 drunken young guys started a fight in the first salon, where there were more small children. 3 stewards (it’s good that there were men, I’ll never know what the stewardesses did! ) Separated them with difficulty. The disassembly dragged on for almost 2 hours! The unfortunate steward had to stand next to them for the entire flight, guarding the peace of other passengers! But then a drunken woman stood out (sorry, but I can’t call her a woman). As soon as the landing gear touched the runway, she immediately jumped up and began to roam around the cabin! And we haven't even slowed down yet! Then other passengers jumped out of their seats and began to collect their things. Tell me, please, will someone steal them? Or will they leave you on the plane??? ? Well, is it really impossible to wait for the plane to come to a complete stop?? ? After all, everyone knows that after a complete stop, no one will immediately open the door for you! At the very least, a ladder must be filed! Wouldn't 10 minutes be enough for you to pack your things?? ? Why so embarrassed?? ? After all, you are on board an aircraft belonging to another state, and, in fact, on its territory! And then you wonder why Russians are so disliked everywhere!!!! ! I have never seen such a disgrace!
Despite some shortcomings, we had a wonderful holiday. The holiday was worth the time and money spent. After all, the main thing in rest is a positive attitude, because it is for emotions and new impressions that we go. I wrote everything, but if I missed something, ask questions, I will be happy to answer everything, because there is quite a bit of information on the island and hotels in Djerba.
