I advise you to move either on foot or by taxi (expensive, but safe). Don't take off the bike! People fight only this way, and if you do not have a category A license, a fine of 500 baht. And if you get into an accident and you don’t have a license or find alcohol in your blood, the insurance company won’t pay for your treatment. As an option - you can ride a motobike taxi, cheap and cheerful, stand on every corner.
We bought food in Big C, a supermarket in the Jang Ceylon shopping center, 15-20 minutes walk to it. Fruits, seafood (they cook right there), cheap clothes, souvenirs, all sorts of things for the house, cosmetics - everything is there, before leaving, they stocked up with gifts. If you buy a suitcase, it is better from street vendors, the quality is the same as in a store, but you definitely need to bargain. Always bargain with the merchants! They see a foreigner - they wind up the price.

Of the excursions, we visited 3 islands (a boat trip around the islands of James Bond, Phi Phi, spent the night on an island in Phi Phi, really liked the fire show, the guys from our company participated in Thai boxing, won a bucket of alcohol) and went to Khao Sok + Cheolan (national park, ancient jungle, temples, elephants, spent the night on an insanely beautiful lake). And at the end of the holiday we went to the Similan Islands - heaven on earth! Very nice! We saw turtles, swam right next to the boat.
As a gift, when buying excursions, we were given tickets to a show for adults - this is worth seeing! They didn’t buy tours at the hotel, so as not to overpay, they bought from Sasha and Stepanida, guys from Russia, they have an office next to the hotel, I think it’s called “Hot vacations”. They also shared Wi-Fi with us, gave us a password from theirs.
I advise you to carry money in dollars, exchangers are at every step, you can compare the exchange rate. In the supermarket, they paid with the usual Sber visa, convenient. If you do not take into account the cost of the flight included in the payment for the ticket, the rest turned out to be cheaper than in Sochi : )
