Good day everyone! We rested in Phuket from July 24 to August 7.2015. From the first days of vacation, the weather did not spoil us, for 14 days the sun shone from morning to evening for 6 days, and on the rest of the days it rained periodically during the day. But that didn't stop us from getting a great tan. At that time we went for a massage (next to the hotel, about 5 meters, if you turn left, there is a small street. There are several cafes and a massage parlor, we found it not by chance, read someone in the reviews. We only went there, were delighted. ), rested in the room, looking for gifts and souvenirs. So, HOTEL. We stayed at the Karon Princess Hotel, in a deluxe room. We were completely delighted with both the location of the hotel and the room itself. We were cleaned every day. I really liked the window between the room and the bathroom : -) Regarding the audibility in the rooms - we slept like the dead every day, so we didn’t hear anything, but if you have a restless sleep, then the neighbors can disturb you.
The breakfasts were very good, varied, we came at different times, and the food was always “full”, the staff followed this, if something was over, they immediately brought a new portion. Between the first and second buildings, there is a building on the roof of which there are 2 swimming pools, a jacuzzi and a bar. The staff at the hotel were friendly and welcoming, almost everyone speaks English. Our hotel is located on Karon Beach, but we went to Kata. At this time of the year, the waves are very large, it is almost impossible to swim, and there are almost no waves on Katya.
We decided on our favorite cafes for lunch and dinner on the 3rd-4th day, there are many of them on the nearest streets. Be sure to try banana pancakes from local mobile “cooks”. Also, we were not afraid to try everything on carts with kebabs, fried fish : -) - we never got hurt! : -)

As for shopping, I definitely won’t recommend it to anyone. There are many local shops, there are two main shopping centers in Phuket - Central Festival and Jung Ceylon, everything is more European there, and there are also souvenirs, but more expensive than anywhere else.
I think it's better to take excursions not from operators, and not from local ones without any guarantees, but from companies with Russian employees - everything is clear, normal prices, there are all guarantees and insurance. They even managed to reschedule us for the next day, we messed up and forgot that we already had plans for that day. Everything came out without problems. We visited a beautiful national reserve with animals and traveled by sea - a great addition to the rest!
Everything was great and we didn't want to leave! Looking forward to next visit : -)
