Sawadi cap! I want to share my impressions of a great holiday at the sea sand sun hotel in February 2009. Rested with a friend. Never been to Thailand before. Before the trip, I read reviews about the hotel, which are almost true. Even on the way to the hotel, the guide praised it to us. When we arrived we were truly in heaven. Rested in the standard "Garden Boutique". The room is located in a two-story bungalow on the 2nd floor. Previously rested in five-star hotels in Turkey and Egypt, their rooms compared to this squalor. There is everything you need, even a jacuzzi and electronic floor scales. The hotel grounds are just gorgeous. The beach is clean every day. Very cozy restaurant. The food is very good. Of course, the choice is not Turkish, but believe me, it’s enough for you. You can have lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant. A good meal costs about 500-700 baht (15-20 dollars) per person (if with beer but without alcohol), by the way, the prices are the same in restaurants in the center of Pattaya and in a fishing village, which is located about 2-3 km. along the beach to the left, and there are currently no establishments 300 meters away.
The hotel is really far from the center of Pattaya, about 25 km, but getting there is not a problem. You can order a car from the reception (a chic Tayota will arrive) and you will be taken to the center in 15 minutes and for 500 baht. You can get there in half an hour for 20 baht on a tuk-tuk, a very colorful and original type of minibus, I only advise you to go on a blue tuk-tuk, it will bring you to the center to the Butch Road and Walken Street area, if you take a white tuk- you will have to transfer to the blue one or hire it as a taxi. Getting back is also not a problem. None of the tuk-tuk or taxi drivers grab their heads and don’t raise prices, but they won’t take you for less than 600 baht, by the way, they don’t ask for more.
We have been on many excursions, not only on the Kwai River, but next time I will definitely go there. A very interesting excursion to Koh Chang with a speedboat trip. I also advise you to go there for a walk in the jungle on elephants with their bathing. A lot of impressions.

Another piece of advice, if local merchants or girls will give someone, just tell them "Meu" (something like our "fuck off") they will not be offended, but they will not bother anymore either.
About prices. Of course, they are acceptable for our tourists, but this applies only to local consumer goods. You can't buy good imported things in Thailand for free. If you have a rest at the end of the tour and in Bangkok, I do not advise you to save money to skimp there, in Pattaya the prices are almost the same. Well, in the shopping center of Bangkok Siam Faragon, prices are the same as in boutiques in Kyiv and Moscow.
For men, I advise the local beer Singa and Leo, it costs 2 times cheaper than European and tastes much better. It is better to buy products and alcohol in large hypermarkets, the prices are quite acceptable. By the way, we often brought alcohol with us to the restaurant, paid a fine of 500 baht and drank calmly, it turned out cheaper than buying alcohol in a restaurant (no cheaper than 1000 baht). I do not recommend using the mini bar in the room. Prices "bite". I strongly advise you to eat at street vendors, very tasty and very cheap, and by the way, as all the guides assured us, it is extremely safe. Save lots of money.
Next time I will go only to the sea sand sun hotel and all his advice. Bye. See you in Thailand. Valera. Donetsk.
