We got room 1469 (the sixth floor in a seven-story building) with a frontal view of the sea. The room itself is nothing special, but there are nice details: large balconies (with drying line). There is a mosquito net on the door to the balcony, maybe that's why there were no mosquitoes in the room. Although they were on the territory and at the reception.
There were two glass bottles of water in the room, replenished every day. Also a kettle, mugs, glasses, coffee, dry cream and sugar. There is a refrigerator (empty) and a large safe (you can hide a laptop). There are bathrobes, slippers and an umbrella, which we did not use).
The bathroom has everything you need: toothbrushes (of dubious quality, it is better to take your own), ear sticks, shower caps, soap. In the shower shampoo, shower gel. Russian channel with good films (although a lot of advertising).
All cases are located compactly. There are three pools. There are enough sunbeds for everyone, but there is a system for pre-reserving sunbeds under awnings. And they need to be booked. Otherwise, the rightful owners of this place will be able to drive you away. Of course, you can ask for a guide with a reservation, but our hotel guides are busy only selling expensive excursions. More on this later.
We took rooms with breakfast - it is very good and a large selection - there are eggs in all kinds, muesli, all types of meat (beef, chicken, pork), several types of sausages, enough pastries. And fruits. Breakfast from 7:00 to 10:00. There was always enough food. (see photo).
The staff does not speak English very well, and even more so in Russian. Only at the reception you can explain something, so you need to be patient and explain in sign language. If they didn’t understand us, then they used Google translator : ).
By the way WI FI in the hotel is free, the speed is good.
There is a shuttle to the city center - it runs on schedule and costs 80 baht per person one way - convenient. But if you find fellow travelers, it's cheaper to take a taxi - 300 baht.
The beach at the hotel is good, the water is not dirty (do not believe the horror stories). It's just not transparent, because there is silt at the bottom. For clear water you need to go to the islands.
Of the minuses - there are no normal shops nearby, at least one 7-eleven would be. The closest one was 15 minutes walk. And on the territory of the hotel there is construction, but it did not bother us and did not interfere.
The villas stand apart.
The infrastructure near the hotel is not particularly developed, it is represented by a few cafes, a pharmacy and Thai massage. For us, this is not a minus, just for more than 10 days of rest, I wanted to visit more different cafes, try many new dishes, different fruits. Therefore, we often went to the nearest Ambassador Hotel, which is full of various cafes, markets and other entertainment. Walking to the Ambassador is easier along the beach than along the highway. The road from the hotel to the highway is not entirely successful, through swamps. We also went to Tesco Lotus and the Big C shopping center. Tuk-tuks run quite often, but not until late. Late in the evening, you can easily leave the entrance to the Ambassador Hotel, where a whole string of taxi drivers line up.
The rooms are wonderful, we got in the new building. Spacious. Equipped with everything you need. View of the pool, two sun loungers on the balcony.
You will have to leave a deposit, in baht, we already went through this in the last hotel, then spent it in Dutik. From my own experience, I was convinced that the exchange rate in the city center is slightly higher.
It was quiet around the hotel and in the hotel, I write off everything for the off season. Of the guests there were Thais, Europeans, Russians - a little, Asians with families (either Thais themselves, or Koreans). The atmosphere is relaxing. Last year, while relaxing in a hotel in Jomtien, there were more people both near the pool and on the beach.
The staff is competent, responsive, but quite principled, we waited for 14:00 to check in. Such rules, but why not make people happy, I don't think there were no rooms ready.
Choosing Pinnacle, you will reward yourself with a wonderful holiday in a picturesque corner of Pattaya. Only remoteness from the main road and not very developed infrastructure near the hotel can cause complaints.
But there is plenty of entertainment in the southern part of the city: the Oceanarium, the Snake Farm, visiting the Floating Market, the Tropical Garden, the new Water Park, of course, it is more profitable and faster to travel with excursions, because the cost of both tickets and transfer from the hotel and back. Traveling by yourself will be more expensive and longer. As always, we used the services of a Nika Travel guide, Alexander Gromyko, because we are satisfied with the prices, the choice of excursions and the quality of service (Pegas turned out to be very expensive, there is an agency opposite the hotel, but prices are also slightly overpriced). This time there were not many excursions, but as always, all five points. Thanks for the new experience!
Those who seek will find cons, there is no limit to perfection. The hotel turned out to be an acceptable option for me at the offered price for a quiet family vacation with the opportunity to relax both on the territory of the hotel and find sights and entertainment outside of it.
We will definitely return to Pattaya and experiment with hotels again, because the best is known in comparison.
The breakfasts are varied, although I have heard complaints from vacationers about the composition of the dishes more than once. I don’t know what they eat at home for breakfast, I think that it was quite enough (hot and cold appetizers, main courses, soups, fruits, pancakes and other buns , cereals, juices, tea amazing coffee, etc. ) and delicious. We dined and dined at the restaurant several times - quite decent cuisine and service.
We were accommodated in a standard room, from the beginning in a three-story room, and then asked for a newer one and we were transferred a few days later. The new room was more comfortable, larger in size, overlooking the pool, etc. Towels were changed daily, all accessories, however, twice We were not provided with toothbrushes and toothpaste. Bed linen was changed three times during the entire stay.
The territory of the hotel is well-groomed, there is a lot of diverse vegetation, the staff keeps it clean.
The beach is clean, however, the sea is dirty, this is understandable.
We were especially pleased that we were offered free transfers to the city and back, three trips were enough.
Disadvantages:
1. Not always friendly staff (at the reception, maids).
2. The spa is a complete disappointment. I decided to get the cheapest pedicure procedure in order to do more expensive ones later.
However, they brought a not very clean basin and a towel, then I don’t want to write and spoil the impression of the rest. In general, the conclusion is as follows: bypass this center.
In general, the hotel corresponds to its good status, but next time we will not go there.
1) Territory - medium in size, very green and well-groomed
2) Staff - very polite and understand English, sometimes Russian
3) Food - we only had breakfast, standard, but tasty
4) The rooms are good, clean, the renovation is not very fresh, but quite decent
5) The sea is a minute from the room, close, but I can’t call the sea itself ideal, since it was better and cleaner on Koh Chang
6) Swimming pool - big and warm
7) Location: 15 km from the center, a bit far, but very quiet and peaceful, away from the hustle and bustle. Moreover, you can always get by tuk tuk or call a free transfer.
Disadvantages: there are none as such, but it can be noted that the territory of the hotel and the beach is separated by a small road along which public transport can travel, so it’s not very clear to me how the parents left the children themselves or they went to swim on their own, everyone can get into the territory.
In general, we recommend the hotel to everyone! )
The hotel rooms are nice and clean. Cleaning was every day, towels and bed
changed.
Let me say a few words about the staff. The maids are always friendly and smiling, but
they don’t try hard to clean up, and even leaving a tip doesn’t help! Ashtray
washed and trash thrown away. Several times they saw that they were sweeping, and then in the center of the room, and not
more. .
The territory of the hotel is very beautiful, all in greenery, and even many different birds live, which are very interesting to watch and which cannot be seen in Russia.
In general, we practically did not stay at the hotel, we only slept and had breakfast, and the rest of the time we traveled.
All the excursions that we visited, we took from Andrey from Maxwell Tour. I really liked the individual approach to customers, and even the prices are much lower compared to what the hotel guide offered us. We visited Cambodia, an excursion for 2 days and a night, for 4000 baht, we were taken directly from the hotel and taken, we examined 5 temples. Between the temples we were taken by bus. Angkor is amazing! Walking on it, climbing to the top of the temples, this is a pleasure worth suffering for. In one place of the temple there was a meditation room for the mother of the king. When I entered it. I sat down to meditate and really felt a sense of happiness and complete peace. Definitely, that in such places, there is something indescribable and mystical!
