Second time in Pattaya. Forgive me right away for the permissible slang, because I will swear ...
Let's go "do not sit still" : ) There are no complaints about the hotel, in contrast to its location. It is located, as they say, "neither fish nor meat": neither in the center nor on Jomtien. The proximity of Buddha Hill from the lips of the tour operator should not bribe you: in fact, this is a public park in which there is practically no one, the territory is littered, it is unpleasant to be there, and even more so to walk. The "observation deck" of this hill with the "Big Buddha" - so tourists are brought there and so (free tour of Pattaya). To be honest - just once to look "above the roof", without any special impressions, and for the sake of this you should not settle nearby. The hotel is at the intersection of two roads, one of which has two levels. The roar and roar of cars are provided around the clock. And not muffled, but a specific roar ROUND THE DAY. Balcony doors-windows do not close tightly, to put it mildly. .
there are two sides to choose from: either on three roads, or on one road and a parking lot. There are no Seaviews a priori, so let them not scratch at the reception))) They are tightly closed only in room 207, but there is a pump in it, which serves to move the water in the pool and also supply output to the floors, turns on every two hours for minutes 40 ...at the same time, the feeling that you are standing in the middle of the airfield is such a buzz!

Do not open windows for fresh air access. This means that the "conders" are constantly working, otherwise it quickly becomes stuffy - the rooms in it are ok. 20m2 (half of which is bathroom and toilet). As a result, my throat was severely cold, both of them, and two days from the trip went down the drain. My friend and I are active and young people, not very pampered, and we planned to go on excursions. But even for us, staying at the hotel is just "TIN".
Leaving the hotel on excursions does not help - because upon returning during the night, you not only do not rest, but you get even more tired.
Especially after two days of Koh Chang or Kwai.

By the way, the hotel itself is located on a rather dirty, extremely inconvenient and UNCOMFORTABLE territory for a pedestrian. And I also understood that this part of Pattaya is something like an Arab-Indian quarter, unlike (for example) from the north, where European "land development" prevails. Its specificity, here someone is closer in spirit.

About the proximity of the sea. The same concept is relative - dofiga to stomp to the water on foot, but this is PIRS, that is, swimming there is "not in the subject", dirty and unpleasant. I don't even want to get my feet wet. Yes, it's a 10/15 minute walk to Walking Street. But a place for an amateur, one of those to come a couple of times and spend most of the time outside of it. So that's also a dubious plus. And even if the goal is Walking Street, I repeat: a huge selection of places better than Manita. Don't spoil your vacation. If this was my first visit to the country, I would have stayed with these curses, and I would have forgotten about returning to Thailand, like a terrible dream.
In general, I think that in Pattaya a huge selection of hotels and places is more pleasant than paying for this "brain removal" (even at the price of a burning tour). To still feel that I flew for so many hours to rest, and not as a guest worker : )
