We were immediately settled in the Palm Corps (closer to the sea) on the 10th floor. There are no balconies in any room category. The room itself, unfortunately, is shabby, there is nowhere to put things, a very narrow closet with 6 hangers, some of the things had to be stored in a suitcase. There are leaks on the ceiling. Of course, we scored excursions and were rarely in the room, but the attitude of the staff to cleaning is still incomprehensible, as well as the inability to put things in the closet. Tipping problems do not solve.
We took only breakfasts, which we never regretted, because we wanted to try everything and everywhere, but we never missed them either - a variety of food that we were not tired of during the entire vacation.
Since we are big fans of seeing new places and visiting excursions, we naturally did not use the services of our hotel guide from Anex (because it is very expensive). We selected tours in advance, opted for Nika Travel Pattaya, good service, affordable prices and willingness to help on all issues.
In general, you could find a much better hotel in the same price range.
2. I liked the design of the hotel, the rooms were in good condition, they were cleaned every day. Towels were changed every day. They gave 2 bottles. water. The mini bar was chargeable. At the hotel in the evenings they played the peony and sang. On the third floor they had an outdoor pool and a gym. There was everything on the territory of the hotel - a cafe, an exchange office, they made cold fruit necks, a market, souvenirs, etc.
3. There are no shortcomings.
4. Breakfasts were given from 6:00 am to 10:00 am on coupons. Everything was very tasty, cheese, egg, tomatoes, cucumbers, sour cream, yogurt, sausages, pasta, soups, sweets, pineapple, banana, papaya, watermelon, coffee tea, beef, ham, fish, fries, and so on. Good service, dirty dishes were taken away immediately. The staff were polite and smiling.
5. We liked everything. Solid 4* corresponds.
Introduction
We took a ticket from Tez-Tour. I will not dwell on the flight and transfer for a long time. 6 hours overnight flight to Bangkok. Even on the plane they gave us and we filled out a migration card (two parts "A-B"). There is nothing complicated in it and they give samples. Part A was taken at the airport at passport control (there is no fee for a visa), but part B, in which they put a stamp with the date of arrival, is given back (we were pinned with a stapler in our passport). This part B will be required upon departure DO NOT LOSE. If, that a fine of 100 baht seems to have been said, but it will take time, and the plane will not wait if anything. We took our things (we waited about 40 minutes) and then the tour guides (they are immediately noticeable in yellow T-shirts) clearly assigned everyone to the buses and went to the hotels. On the bus, they give you a bottle of water and local SIM cards (hand out left to right with a zero balance, of course). While we are going, introductory information and one stop, of course, at the supermarket for a toilet and a smoke break. We immediately bought sunscreen there and went to the toilet. Just go Airport - Pattaya about 2.5 hours. Yes, at the airport, while waiting for luggage, they exchanged $ 100 for 3150 baht just in case (the course is certainly lower than in the city). It was possible to be patient, on the road from the airport it would not be needed much, but we bought sun cream at a stop, maybe someone else wants to buy something.
Hotel.
The hotel consists of two buildings connected by a passage. In the 1st there is a reception, a dining room, it is older and lower than the year of construction. The 2nd building must have happened like this, as much as 100 meters further to the sea than from the 1st))). Half of the hotel is owned by Tez-Tour. We were settled in room 450 of the 2nd building. We arrived at one in the afternoon, after 15 minutes we were already in the room. The porter brought the things, they gave him a tip of 20 baht (changed at the airport came in handy). The front desk didn't give us anything extra for the room. On the bus, the guide said that it doesn’t work for them, for example, in Turkey (he gave 50-100 bucks) and they will settle in a better room. Then this information was confirmed by the hotel guide Shah (hello to you! ). In Tae, what is written in the voucher in the wishes will be there and then, if possible. You need a better room, pay extra according to the tariff. And if someone gives money, well, they will settle in the same place where you were supposed to live and say this is the best possible at the moment. In this case, decide for yourself, I did not give anything. As I understand it, the hotel is constantly undergoing gradual renovation. For example, rooms of the same category, on one floor there will be a fresh renovation and fresh furniture, and next to it exactly the same or on top, it will already be with old furniture. Many compatriots turned to the hotel guide-Shah to change the room, and he always went forward and spoke without problems and helped (do not forget the floor of the hotel and they are respected there) I did an experiment. Bypassing the Guide, I went to the reception and, in broken English, asked with gestures to change the room, beckoning 50u / e (the average unofficial price for changing the room). They gave me a key (a plastic card - all the keys are electronic there, you bring it up and it opens), they say, go look. I went and looked at the 9th floor, room 962. Well, no, and such an exchange is not needed for nothing. Everything is the same in terms of footage, but old furniture, a TV set from 1990, no iron, the window overlooks a long-term construction, although you can see the sea high up. In short, he returned the keys and abandoned the exchange business. I have a number and it's great. Plasma TV 80 cm, a refrigerator that really freezes, two beds, a hair dryer, a shower and a separate bath, a laminate floor, which I think, unlike carpet, is much more hygienic. Balconies, yes, there are no balconies in the whole hotel. But if you are Russian, you will always find somewhere to dry your laundry, what to tell us about it, or we are not Russian.
Also in the 2nd building on the 3rd floor there is another pool (our windows just overlooked it). There is also a SPA center and all kinds of exercise equipment. As previously written, no insects were noticed in the room (4th floor). The room is excellent. But there are two downsides. The first one is because of the interior door leading to another room, very good audibility (it will not be lucky for those who come across neighbors in the room who are noisy). And the second is the pillows, they are very harsh. Everything, more minuses are not noticed. Yes, we didn’t have a safe in the room, they say someone has one. But there are safes at the reception for 1000 baht, which are returned upon departure when you hand over the key (do not lose it). The safe is designed in such a way that two keys are required to open it, one that we have and the other at the reception. We kept dollars and passports in a safe. There were also money and valuables in the room, and nothing was missing. In the room, the minibar refrigerator was put in a prominent place immediately upon check-in. If you ask him to remove it altogether, then changing cleaners can replenish it again, thinking that it was you who used it, not knowing that you passed it. And when the minibar is in plain sight, everything will be clear and the math will converge. We brought with us our chocolates for presents to the cleaners. But it did not help, we did not see any swans. Although they cleaned every day, the wife said that the cleaning could have been better. On TV, at first there were two channels, First and RTR, then RTR disappeared and only First remained. They took a 1TB flash drive with them with films, watched in the evenings on plasma via USB.
The food is excellent, you will not stay hungry until dinner, but you can hold out until the evening. Breakfast from 6 to 10 am. Upon check-in, they give checks for breakfast by date and with these checks you go to eat, which are taken away at the entrance to the dining room. I liked the beef sausages there (so small), I’ll even say that they reminded me of sausages from the childhood of the USSR. In Russia, you rarely find such high-quality ones.
Connection.
As I said above, upon arrival, Tez Turovites distribute free SIM cards of the local TRU or THU operator as it is correct (it doesn’t matter). Take. In the Family Market or Seven Eleven (there are them at every step), you can put baht on your balance. Better to do it by check. We speak broken English, PLIZ check mobile operator labor so many baht. You will be given a check, there is a code. I don’t remember which combination to dial before entering the code from the check, but either sellers or store employees always help with this. Give them a check with a phone and they will do everything. I put 150 baht and it was enough for my eyes for 12 days. Why is it better to lay down on a check. There were cases that if you put it on the phone number itself through the cashier of the store, then people came in a day and the balance did not come. And so on the check, entered the code and the balance immediately arrives. I didn’t even know how much a local connection costs, I just called my wife and friends and that’s it. But as they say in a 3rd world country, you should call home in Russia. Ready? One minute costs 1 baht (1 ruble). This is via IP telephony. The code is 006007 (7 is the code of Russia) and then your number. So our three operators are resting.
Internet in the hotel is available, but paid. I did not take it, it is very expensive - 600 baht an hour and only reaches the 4th floor, as they said. If you need anything, almost every cafe has free wifi. There is also internet on the beaches. You pay 50-100 baht for a large sunbed or 30-40 baht for a seated one (the cost depends on the location of the row from the sea), ask for a password and sunbathe all day and use the Internet without restrictions.
The hotel provides towels for free. You write in a journal and cross out yourself when you turn in. There were always places near the main pool, but the water is not quite warm, but clean, generally beautiful. There is no hotel beach. Yes, and as they explained to us, there are no private beaches in Pattaya at all, all are public. The beach is 10 meters of sand and there are rows of resort sun loungers with sun loungers.
Transport. Infrastructure.
The hotel is located at the beginning of the Jomtien waterfront (assuming the beginning is closer to the center). When leaving the hotel, Jomytien embankment goes to the left to the end of the city where the famous Ambrasador hotel built by the Americans is located. To the right of the hotel ends (begins) Jomtien embankment and the center begins. In the center there is a pier (to go to the islands), there are 3 large shopping centers, a market, and much more, well, the famous Volkin Street (Russians call it FORK). To the center by TUK TUK 10-20 minutes (depending on traffic). To the left of the hotel is the Jomytien embankment where there are hotels, cafes, shops, exchangers, macaroons and all that for about 5 kilometers. Somewhere about 15 minutes walk to the left there is a market that is open from 6 pm. In general, as I understand it, there is only China in the markets. There is very little Thai. Bargain in the markets. For example, a Lacoste China t-shirt looks like normal, at the beginning it was 350 baht, it was sold to me for 120 baht. You could think and still bargain.
So what is TUK TUK? These are such jeeps with bodies open under a canopy and they have two benches on the sides. You raise your hand and drive either to the right to the center or to the left along the embankment. If you spoke with the driver, then it will already be considered as a taxi. If you need to stop, you press the horn button, you get out, you pay 10 baht per person. Before TUK TUK it is better to have money for settlement without change. I had two cases that I gave a banknote for change, the driver there rustled something, crumpled the papers, gave it away, but for now I counted and saw that I had not added 20-40 baht, and the TUK TUK had already left for a long time, keep this in mind.
Liked: hotel location, swimming pools, breakfasts, restaurant, bowling, billiard room, massage parlor, service
The hotel consists of 2 adjacent buildings of 17 floors. There are no balconies, which is very upsetting. We lived in the main building on the 3rd floor. The view from the window is poor - if you look to the right, you can see the sea in the distance, or rather the bay, but in front you can see the pool of the neighboring hotel (unsympathetic) + construction site.
The hotel rooms are large with two single beds. Many write that the linen on the beds is damp, but this is not a minus of the hotel - this is such a climate in Thailand))
The breakfasts are very tasty, we ate every day, the choice is large, there are dishes of both European cuisine and Thai. I really liked the guava juice. Of the fruits, only pineapples, watermelon and papaya are given, I would like more outlandish fruits, because there are a lot of them in Thailand and all are cheap !!!
The advantage of the hotel can be considered its location - tuk-tuks stop right in front of the hotel, go to Walking Street for 7 minutes, probably costs 10 baht per person = 10 rubles.
The hotel has a beautiful large aquarium with fish : )))
There are no safes in the rooms, which is a minus. We took a safe deposit box of 1000 baht at the reception, of course, this is inconvenient, because. every time you have to go downstairs to get / remove something... When we left the hotel, the deposit was returned to us, the remaining money was spent in Duty Free))
In general, the hotel is normal, budget, but with a convenient location and good appearance : )
Have a good holiday everyone!! !
