Advantages:
The hotel is clean, tidy, despite the fact that the cheapest. The porter kept opening the front door for us. But my review is not about the hotel, but rather about the resort of Pattaya.

Disadvantages:
There is a terribly noisy air conditioner on the balcony, which hums even if the regulator in the room is turned to the OFF position. As for the resort of Pattaya, it's stench and dirt.

Review:
Journey to the future.
Rested from August 11.2007 to August 22.2007 at the Caesar Palace Hotel (Pattaya, Thailand).
Then two days - at the Bangkok Palace Hotel (Bangkok, Thailand).
Why to the future? Yes, because in Thailand it is now the year 2550, it is considered from the moment when the Buddha achieved enlightenment.

Please note that this review is just my personal opinion. Why am I warning you? Yes, because I did not like this country very much. Now I'll tell you why. After checking into the hotel, going out into the street, I was simply stunned by the traffic, which almost knocked us down. And since
almost all Pattaya hotels are located on Second Street (2nd Road), moreover, on the side farthest from the sea, then on the way to the coast you will have to cross two routes at once, parallel to the sea - 2nd Road and Beach Road (Embankment). In addition, after you have crossed Second Street, you need to somehow get to First Street along one of the many alleys perpendicular to these streets. So, there are NO sidewalks in these alleys! But there are thousands of motorcycles! It was the very first and rather unpleasant impression of Pattaya. Therefore, I beg you, do not make the mistake of thinking that if you calmly cross the road, and even maybe on a zebra, then someone will slow down! NO! No one will stop, no one will even slow down! Run across the road very fast! Your life is more precious than the habits and opinions of others. Once the car stopped 5 centimeters from our feet, and then, due to the fact that we managed to run back a couple of steps. Creepy feeling : -)
But the horrors do not end there : ) You are always and everywhere haunted by a strange stench, which at first even made you feel nauseous. ! ! I don’t know where this terrible “smell of Pattaya” comes from, as I called it, or, as my husband used to say, “color”, but I guess that this is partly from the terrible dirt that is happening on the streets (everything is gray, dirty and in garbage), and partly from the stinky fruit Durian, which is sold on every corner (although durian still smells differently).
Now about the sea. Having covered a distance of 50 meters in 15 minutes (you have to wait a long time by the road to choose the moment to cross it), we went to the city beach. I was already looking forward to taking a dip in the healing sea water after a sleepless night and suffocating heat . . But it wasn’t there! We come to the beach, but there is NO sea!

The desert stretched almost to the horizon, and somewhere in the distance motor boats splashed. The tide started at about 3 pm. It happened before, but it happened at 4 pm. Only in recent days the sea was near the shore in the morning, but this, I think, is due to the approach of the full moon. As far as I know, the moon draws the seas to itself and contributes to the tides. Pattaya is located on the coast of the Gulf of Thailand of the South China Sea of the Pacific Ocean. Probably, this is the property of this particular sea, since I did not notice anything like that in the red, Adriatic and black. When the sea more or less approached the shore, so that you could swim at least knee-deep (and the deepest that it can become by 17 o'clock is waist-deep), it turned out that the sea was dirty! That is, bags and candy wrappers do not float there, as in Bulgaria, but it is simply absolutely not transparent! It's milky green! No one swam in it at all, except me. The whole beach was sitting in sun loungers on the beach all day : )
Even in Kyiv, I read in the reviews that you need to travel from Pattaya by ferry to the island of Koh Lang, there is a clear sea. We went. The sea came there only at 17:00, it was not much cleaner than Pattaya. Well, nothing in my hit parade of the seas can be compared with the transparency of the Adriatic Sea. Although this sea was not even drawn to the Crimea . . A rectangle of buoys was carefully laid out in the desert, which encloses the bathing area. When the sea came, it became clear that in terms of area and depth it was a tiny paddling pool in which all the vacationers of Pattaya swim, who came here by ferry or for crazy money on a motorboat, which has been waiting for them all day nearby to take them back. There is simply nowhere to swim! Naturally, I swam outside this paddling pool, but there is a risk of getting hit on the head by a motor boat or a motorcycle. And one more risk. Someone stung me hard on the finger. Rather pricked.
A deep hole turned out on the ring finger, from which blood gushed heavily for about 5 minutes, and the meat around the injection turned blue. I had no idea what kind of animal it was, or if it was poisonous. I sat in a deck chair and just waited : ) Then my husband went for a swim and looked at what was happening under the water, it turns out that behind the paddling pool the whole bottom is covered with boulders, each of which sits on several dozen hedgehogs with long needles (40 centimeters). Then I calmed down, hedgehogs are not poisonous. But I didn’t want to swim at all . . In 12 days we only went to this island 2 times, the rest of the days we swam on the city beach in Pattaya and once wandered far south, into the cozy bay of the Royal Cliff Beach Ressort, I suspect that 5 *. There were almost no people and motor boats, silence and peace. Recommend.
On the penultimate day, the entire surface of the water was covered with some kind of, excuse me, pus, among which, upon closer examination, one could see transparent capsules with a brown ball inside. I had to rake all this mess with my hands if I wanted to swim . . But I wanted to swim less and less : ) And further, in the depths, large purple jellyfish swam. After swimming, my neck and back burned. The next day, there were even more jellyfish, the capsules disappeared, but some squishy creatures (not jellyfish) appeared in the water, which you constantly touch with your hands when you swim. And since the water is absolutely opaque, the sensation is eerie, because it is impossible to establish WHAT it is ! ! : )

In general, there is nowhere to swim in Pattaya : )
Next, a little bit about what everyone already knows from other reviews.
I won’t repeat about the spiciness of food, everyone writes about it.
The main thing is not to be a hero like my husband and do not replace the word "KNOW" in the request "KNOW SPICE" with the word "LITTLE" : ) Understand, they are different! : )
Bangkok really impressed and delighted with its divinely beautiful skyscrapers made of glass and concrete : ) But down on the sidewalks the same dirt and stench, unfortunately : (
No matter how great you know English, you really won’t need it in Thailand, they don’t speak foreign languages : ) There was a funny case when I asked to bring me a low-alcohol drink SPY (read “SPY”), which I found in Thailand we don't seem to have that. She replies "SAPAY, ok" and... brings the SPRITE! After vain attempts to explain something, she brings a piece of paper and a pen, and I write: "SPY". To which she replies something that can be translated something like this: "Oh, so you don’t have SAPAY, but SAPAY" : )
I won't go to Thailand anymore, it's hard : ) But you need to go once to see it all with your own eyes!
