Since I always choose a hotel based on reviews - I repay debts - I write my report: Road: round-trip Nordwind Airlines aka "Northern Wind" having read about this company was preparing for the worst. And in vain! flights back and forth on time, the planes are not new, of course, but you can even fly for 8-9 hours, the distance between the seats is no more and no less than on planes of other companies (I fly a lot, I know), they fed normally, 2 times, the toilets work.

Road: round-trip Nordwind Airlines aka "Northern Wind" having read about this company was preparing for the worst. And in vain! flights back and forth on time, the planes are not new, of course, but you can even fly for 8-9 hours, the distance between the seats is no more and no less than on planes of other companies (I fly a lot, I know), they fed normally, 2 times, the toilets work. Not great, but quite decent for a charter.
Before Koh Samui, the Bangkok Airs line, the brand new A-319, was shown on monitors with a show with practical jokes - they laughed unnoticed. Fed, although the flight is only an hour and 5 minutes. Transfers from Pegasus are also without pretensions.
Intermediate hotel in Bangkok: I got the Marvel Hotel www. marvelhotelbangkok. com/ the hotel is old and very shabby, the plumbing works through the bathroom like a telephone booth, the appliances are old, some light switches are broken, the TV is old (20 channels.
1 Russian RTR-Planet), Wi-Fi was not detected, oilcloth is stretched on the bed (!! ! ! ) if you want to sleep well, it’s better to take it off right away. The air conditioner works, the linen is clean, there is a safe, breakfast is tolerable if you arrive early, departure for excursions starts at 8.00 and our tourist brother sweeps everything clean. Although the hotel has at least half of the guests Russians (well, where without Pegasus) at the reception only "Thai English". Since the intermediate hotel was chosen by Pegasus, it would be foolish to expect better conditions from him, but the hotel is really lousy and you can’t see any 4 * there, except for the total area of the room. Around the hotel there are still 5-7 hotels - infrastructure type 7-11, bars, massage and massage at all - within walking distance, street trading - in full growth, inhale the smells of Bangkok. If you want to take a walk in the district - go to the Sky train line (to the left of the hotel), there is nothing interesting to the right.
By the way, the hotel website states that the sky train is only 500 meters away - it should be understood as follows - 500 meters to the line, another 1000-1500 meters to the station along it.
Chaweng Cove Resotel 4* http://www. chawengcove. com/ (in Pegasus transcription CHAWENG COVE BEACH RESORT 4*)
Located in the southern part of Chaiweng, the beach here is quite narrow (1-2 rows fit into the tide), but there are always free sunbeds, clean, rather large sand. Unlike the northern party part of the beach, it is calm and quiet. The bottom is gently sloping at low tide long to the ankle - at high tide long to the waist After a storm, a flat sandy bottom is plowed up by waves, mounds and pits appear - those who swim poorly - be careful. No living creatures were noticed, although from time to time you get either a bite or a nettle burn - the locals say plankton burns. There are no traces left and the burning sensation disappears after 5-10 minutes
We lived in a bungalow overlooking the pool and the sea.
It is spacious, the room has a single bed and a double bed, TV (no Russian channels), a spacious bathroom, though a walk-through type - a dressing room - a toilet - a shower room, everything works, hot water is constant. Shampoo gels, soaps are available. The air conditioner works well. Furniture in good condition. It's funny that if the front and side walls of the bungalow are thick enough and extinguished sounds except for the strongest, then the back wall is literally paper - you can hear the birds chirping. Wi-Fi in the room is paid with a horse price tag of 400 baht / day - Did not use.
The pool is small and shallow, but you can swim back and forth, around the sunbeds in 1 row almost all days are 100% occupied, due to the location of our bungalow, we didn’t care much. Be careful if you are going to swim at night - at 2 o'clock, a hard worker throws dry bleach into the pool with a scoop.
Breakfasts on the terrace in front of the sea - the food is generally European, rather even German cuisine (there are no rolls really : -)) satisfying.
Lunch is expensive, and it's hot there at lunchtime. For dinner a couple of times there were show programs such as cabaret shows and "national dance". Passing by with pity, I looked at 10-15 people who were stoically trying to seep out their money.
Infrastructure around the hotel - banks - 2 branches right next to the reception - the rate is one and a half baht higher than at Bangkok airport (! ! ) a little further there are a couple of exchangers, they work 10-21 in the hotel building itself there are 7-11 around the clock. There are restaurants and massage parlors near the sea and for every taste, but everything is clearly adapted to Europeans and such colorful smells have not been noticed. Most cafes have Wi-Fi - they combined dinner, receiving news and Skype. Nearby there are several bike rentals, clothes and souvenirs in abundance, but I would recommend literally on the first day to take a taxi and drive (200-300 baht) to Tesco-Lotus - such a normal megamall, buy everything you need there.
Excursions: They took from Pegasus because it was lazy to lose probably 1500-2000 baht.
I advise you not to lead to Pegasus' exhortations about the fact that only they have excursions on new technology and with lunches and tickets. Excursions to the islands and Koh Samui are made by local operators and PegasT only resells them, there are no values from Russian guides with minimal English - they don’t tell anything, they only recalculate at the entrance and exit. Be sure to go to the Marine Reserve and Safari. The rest is optional.
On the bad: Upon check-in, the hotel staff tried to rudely na... t by placing in the filthiest room, although the bungalow was paid for and the difference was significant in terms of money. An attempt to argue that we have paid for the bungalow - "all questions to the operator" went to look at the room - in the main building on the 2nd floor (above the restaurants) the windows to the street, opposite the windows - wiring harnesses and air conditioners in 2 rows.
I went to the reception and demanded to connect with a representative of Pegasus and show the voucher - to clarify what is written in it - with an innocent look they gave someone else's voucher, it seems even with other dates. They meowed in semi-English that they could change the number to another one for an extra charge (like they had already settled in another one), demanded to call the representative again, such as "Yu eror-yu money". Probably my brutal mug spoke about a lot - they gave a bullet at the pool. If this story had not been repeated in earlier reviews, I would have considered it a mistake, but apparently this is a system with the silent streaming of Pegasus.
