The hotel is located in the jungle, far from the sea, but carried to the beach. Rooms are clean, service is good =) Everything is fast, and most importantly, according to our wishes.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel in October 2015. We chose the hotel carefully: we read reviews, asked travel agents, compared price and quality. In general, positive reviews clearly prevailed, so we settled on Ramayana. Upon arrival, we were not disappointed: the hotel has no pretensions to chic, but is very green and cute. And since there were few tourists at that time, the feeling of solitude did not leave. Friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, what more do you need for happiness! They take you to the beach every hour, a small minus is at 18 the last delivery from the beach. And on one of the sunny days we decided to change money and here is a nuisance - 200 euros and 100 dollars are missing. We could not believe our eyes right away, we have a rich travel experience, but for the first time we encountered theft in a hotel. Of course, we are to blame ourselves. Everyone writes that in Thailand you can’t be “led” by the courtesy of the staff. And thank you for not stealing the entire amount, leaving passports, a bank card, a mobile phone and a tablet. We contacted the host / tpg, the answer is: contact the top manager. They called, up to this point, the most friendly top. And woo-ala, a magical transformation: from the most accommodating person in the world, he turned into a hostile and arrogant manager. We reported that we had lost money and that the same people were cleaning from us. The answer struck us: the maids have been working for a long time, so he is confident in them, but he sees us for the first time) and offered to call the police with a grin. We are to blame for the fact that we relaxed and, after reading reviews about Thailand, put the money in a bag, which we closed in a suitcase, and not in a safe. Since they read that they steal in all hotels (even in 5! ). As for the safes in the room - do not use! The safe can be opened by staff and everything of value should be kept locked in a suitcase. What we successfully did) but if the money is not in the safe, the hotel is not responsible. Here.
I would like to immediately note that we will not recommend this hotel to anyone, if only because this hotel is STEALING! The manager does nothing. 100% staff. We did not turn to the police, so as not to spoil our vacation completely, because. there is a law "Taets for Thais", so these manipulations are useless here. It's just a pity for time. Staying at this hotel or not is up to you, we hope our review will help not to spoil your vacation.
P. S. Breakfast at the hotel is a separate issue, we are not picky eaters at all. But in Ramayana, there is a complete lack of European food for breakfast, except for toast and something like an omelette. Everything else: Thai very spicy food: vermicelli, rice, potatoes and paper sausages most likely.

Normal hotel, as for 3 *, there is a territory, everything is decent. Infrastructure and beach 2 km. Free wifi at the reception. If you rent a bike, then very much even nothing. By the way, bikes cost a penny. And they eat very little gasoline, they traveled the whole island, but the arrow with gasoline did not move.

When we arrived at the hotel, it was already dark and we were pretty tired from the flight and the 6-hour transfer, so the first impression was rather blurry. At the reception, we were warmly greeted by a pretty woman who quickly and incomprehensibly rumbled something in English. Unfortunately, the staff does not speak Russian at all, and English is sometimes not very clear, but despite the language barriers, you can always agree without problems.

The hotel itself is like a paradise in the jungle: quiet, calm and very beautiful.
Rooms in the hotel are one-story houses with 4 rooms each. almost a bungalow))) each room has access to a terrace overlooking the local reservoir. our room was in the back of the territory, we almost felt like Robinsons)
The area is very beautiful, but not big. Lots of butterflies and birds. And also the hickons. on all the walls you will see even more than one such creature. Therefore, it is better to close the doors to the balcony at night. Of course, they are not dangerous, but it is not pleasant to find a lizard in bed before going to bed. In general, these lizards are all over the island, so this is not a problem of the hotel, but of the island as a whole.
The staff is friendly, very helpful, always ready to help. Cleaning is daily, when they are cleaned, they didn’t even notice) they cleaned well. linen was changed in 8 days either once or 2. In the room - fresh fruit (bananas and some small apples).
In the room itself (there are two types of them, we took ravana junior) a huge double bed with a canopy, a TV with one Russian channel (on which cartoons are all the time), a mini bar (local beer, water, cola, local rum, chips, nuts) The prices in the minibar are quite reasonable.
Meals in buffet style for breakfast. Fried eggs, boiled eggs, waffles, coffee-tea, yoghurts, fruits, sausages, bacon, a lot of boiled vegetables. rather monotonous, however, as in any country.
The pool is small but very nice. there is a jacuzzi. around the pool - Thai massage.
But there is no sea. Minibuses leave the hotel every hour from 9 am to 5 pm. By the way, they take you to two beaches: at the Dewa hotel and on Kai Bay. we didn’t swim on Kai Bay, because there is a pier nearby and a lot of boats, so it’s dirty. The Dewa beach is great.
Also every evening, around 21.30 from the hotel there is a minibus to White Sand Beach, where there are many shops, massage parlors and cafes on the seashore. such a hangout place.
And at 11.30 in the morning you will be taken directly from the hotel to the Klong Plu waterfalls. all on the same bus. very convenient, because it's cheaper than a tour (you only pay 200 baht per person for the entrance) and more time.
Of the places where to eat, I advise you to pay attention to the Katya Culinary cafe (it is located on the road to the Dewa beach, somewhere in the middle, it takes a long walk, about 20 minutes at a quick pace, it’s easier to catch a taxi). The food here is delicious and beautifully presented. and also on the Owen restaurant, you will find it if you leave the Dewa hotel and go towards the main road, there will be hotels on the right, the river on the left. When the hotels run out, shops will be located on the left. Owen restaurant is also on the left between the tailor shop and the massage parlour. The food there is very tasty, the menu is written in Russian as well, and most importantly, cheap. My husband and I ate for 700 baht, three courses each + alcohol.
You can eat in two restaurants at the hotel, but there prices are still higher. Although often the hotel arranges an evening buffet in one of the restaurants for 700 baht per person + a glass of wine as a gift.
My husband and I are absolutely delighted with this hotel. It was exactly what we were looking for - a relaxing holiday.

I won’t say anything bad, just look carefully at the minibar and the number of towels when you check out of the hotel, because. The room service is not very attentive in this regard, they will leave one towel (it happened to us) or put an open bottle of mineral water in the minibar (it happened to our compatriots).
