Arrived from vacation April 7.2008. Immediately from Bangkok airport, refusing to meet the transfer, we went by taxi to the hotel. It cost us only 400 baht, instead of the transfer fee of $100. We stayed at the Baiyoke Suite Hotel from March 23 to March 27.
The hotel is located in the heart of Bangkok's Pratunam shopping district and is surrounded by lively markets. Yes, that's right. . . leaving the hotel lobby, you immediately find yourself on a shopping street and so on throughout the entire microdistrict. A place for a couple of days for overnight stays and shopping - ideal)
About the hotel. The hotel itself is a little old and none of the travel agencies do not hide it. The room was on the 28th floor, the so-called "quatro". These are two adjacent rooms for the life of four people. The number is normal. There is everything you need. We only spent the night there, the rest of the time we were in the city - on excursions. There is no Russian television in the hotel. The bed was changed every day. Bathroom supplies were brought every day. Towels were changed every day. Tea and coffee sets were added every day. The servants were not noticeable at all, they were somehow invisible. The plumbing in the bathroom is all new, everything is serviceable and clean. The furniture itself in the rooms can be seen to be worn out and live a constant life of guests.

Restaurant on the 43rd floor, in the morning there were minutes of waiting "down" after breakfast, when the people were all driving up, but it was not so noticeable or stressful. Breakfast is normal, no frills and modest pastries. But there is everything and no one left hungry. We ate our fill) it’s quite cold in the restaurant itself, on the second day we went in shirts with long sleeves, and began to choose tables with the sunrise side, it’s warmer there.
You can go out to the balcony, where they cook bacon, pancakes, scrambled eggs - you get good photos with views of Bangkok waking up.
The gym is funny) a couple of treadmills and a bike, and it's all PAYING. But after walking around the city, I didn’t really want to do it, we relaxed in the pool.
About the pool separately... there are two of them. One is more or less with a depth of up to 2.10 cm, the other is a “paddling pool”. Both are very ancient. The floor tile of the bottom is peeled off, and my boys were cut regularly. Also, the environment around the perimeter of the pool is lined with small pebbles - very painful when you touch them when leaving or entering from the water. Go down the stairs only) A towel is issued at the entrance to the pool, after which it is handed over against signature. There were enough beds for everyone.
Massage at the hotel is expensive, we went to the market, there you can see the brand name "M" - McDonald's and there is also a good salon for manicure, pedicure and massage. Enjoyed every evening. Girls work until 22.30.

There are plenty of edibles along the streets, buy and eat without fear. Trade in the streets around the hotel is round the clock, the night shift leaves around 10 am and day traders take their place. If you have a desire for shopping, do not be shy) further into the city, the goods are the same, and the prices are many times higher.
Getting around the city by taxi meter is cheap and fair.
