Small, poor country. It looks like old Europe, like Chernivtsi or Uzhgorod. We lived in Ruzhbaakh in the Strand Hotel 4 *. Quiet calm hotel. It was winter. Everything is covered in snow, beauty. Rooms are warm with underfloor heating. There is TV in the room, but there is not a single program in Russian or Ukrainian.

The food is ordinary, no frills, rice every day. Buffet in the morning, semi-buffet in the evening. Drinks at your own expense (only morning tea is free). The hotel is inexpensive. The beer in the bar is excellent and cheaper than in Kyiv in any eatery. Mug 0.5 Kruš ovets cost 45 sl. CZK about 1.5 euros!

There is no one in the baths in the morning, they row up in the evening. There are a lot of people in the pool in the evening, vacationers are free, but anyone can buy a subscription. So it wasn't just the hotel residents there. The pool smells terrible of chlorine. The sauna is not bad, an excellent wet steam room for 7-8 people, a jacuzzi for 4 people, but there is always a crowd. On weekends, Poles come to the hotel by car to go skiing. They behave worse than ours.
The ski slopes are not bad, especially for families with children, not very steep. The language is understandable if spoken slowly. For a family vacation, I advise you to go.
