Day Seven. The most common. Strbske Pleso, Solisko.

We had our last full day in Slovakia. After yesterday's hike along the forest paths, I again wanted to relax - without fuss and haste. I wanted to finally enjoy the mountain peaks, which were open in all their majestic beauty, thanks to clear and sunny weather. So we are going to Strbske Pleso again - to see Solisko in “sunny clothes”! And look at Strbske from above!

We reached Stary Smokovets by local bus. The ticket cost mere "penny", that is, euro cents - 0.55 euros. Travel time is 15 minutes. The bus station is located in close proximity to the railway station. station, 500 meters maximum.

Further on, the usual thing: a Tatra electric train, a skibus, familiar faces in the train car, a friendly “hello! ”and questions“ when are you home? - tomorrow! – and so are we! »

This time we got into the chairlift quite confidently - without fear and reproach (after Lomnitsky peak then! )

The views below were amazing! Only the fir trees were already without snow, unlike our previous visit to Strbske.

The weather was great! Skiers sea! Well, and a few more such "non-ski onlookers" like us. Traditional cappuccino in "Chata pod Soliskom" - how could it be without it? And then photo walkers along the trodden paths. But the snow had almost turned into a crust and it was problematic to move on it: the legs slipped, and falling hurt!

But then, what magnificent clouds floated around us! It is near, not above us!....

And then another cloud covered Strbske and we descended completely in the fog!

We wandered along the beaten paths to the frozen lake and our favorite hut “Patria”, to taste something delicious! But it was lunch time and there were no empty seats in the hut. I had to wait half an hour.

But the delicious venison on the ridge with lingonberry jam was quite acceptable compensation for such a long wait. Then we decided to enjoy another Slovak dish - dumplings with cheese. I will tell you that the Slovak feta cheese has little in common with our feta cheese: both in appearance and taste. In general, as one of my friends said, we returned home full and satisfied!

There were still 20 minutes left before the train towards Stary Smokovets, and I walked a little more to the Church. Modest, as usual, the temple. Nothing extra.

We are leaving. Last look at Strbske. With regret, perhaps. We liked it here!

This evening was a little sad. I didn't even want wine. The sauna area in our Aqua Relax refused to be a worthy cure for sadness.

Day Eight and Last.

So the suitcases are packed, the room is handed over. And we still have a couple of hours before the transfer arrives.

Nothing special happened: we walked around the residential quarter of Lomnica, looked into our favorite restaurant - to drink a farewell cup of Tatra cava.

OU! On the slope near the Grand Hotel Praha - some bright yellow cars! Come on, come on ....How could such an attraction miss?

Let's get closer - there is a "TATRABOB"! What kind of animal is this?

Adults and children got into the cars, fastened their seat belts and went up the metal rails.

My companion refused to participate in this attraction, but apparently I already lack extreme sports. I bought a ticket for 3 euros, got into the car, buckled up. They showed me how the gas and brake levers work (oh, sorry! You will have to put the camera in your pocket! ) And I went! ! ! Nothing foretold NOTHING…. Until I got up…. . Then she went down.... But then the turns started!....I was completely unprepared for them: and there is NO way back.

You can’t stop, get up and get out - you have to go! Hands were shaking, my heart was pounding, my eyes saw the signs “Stopping is prohibited”, the driving courses taken 10 years ago suggested that you need to put pressure on the gas when cornering ..... There was no end in sight....I don't know how many turns there were - I remember TWO: the first and the last!

Everything ended well! Which made me extremely happy. My friend did too when I told her.

And it's time to go back to the hotel. time Ch.

I really enjoyed such a spontaneous and such a crazy vacation. Impressions from Slovakia are very pleasant! The benevolent hosts of their not very rich country are wonderful and hospitable. Not very rich, but so sweet and attractive!
