Bratislava. Adviсe.
What to do in Bratislava:
1) Visit the museum of the history of the city. In addition to an interesting exposition, you can climb the tower of the former town hall, which offers a magnificent panorama of medieval Bratislava. In particular, you can take a photo on the tower against the backdrop of the Bratislava castle.
2) Visit St. Stephen's Cathedral. In addition to the cathedral itself (quite good), you can visit the treasury and the crypt in which prominent residents of the city are buried.
3) Sit in a restaurant and taste the famous “boar knee liver” and Slovak beer Zlatý Baž ant (“Golden Pheasant”). Beer is less famous than Czech, but believe me, it is by no means worse! If it didn’t work out with foreign languages, you can look for a restaurant where they understand Russian, there are quite a lot of such establishments (Russian names of dishes on the menu can be a sign of this).
4) If you stay in Bratislava for a few days, you can visit Vienna.
The distance between Vienna and Bratislava is only 60 km. You can get there by bus, train, boat on the Danube. And you can, like us: by ordering a taxi. The road from the hotel in Bratislava to Maria Theresa Square took us only 40 minutes. A taxi (mers-minivan) cost 100 euros on the meter, but 6 people got into the car.
Tips for using public transport in Bratislava:
It is convenient to move around the city by tram (which one - ask the guide / guide or at the reception). There are vending machines at every stop where you can buy tickets. To do this, you need to select the type of ticket and specify their number. Only after that (! ) invest money in the machine. One ticket costs 90 euro cents. The ticket is unlimited - you can use it at any time. But, when you got on the tram, the ticket must be validated.
Composters are different from ours - you just need to insert a ticket into them and the puncher will print the date and time on it. After that, you can "ride" within 90 minutes.
