The location of the hotel is good and this is a big plus - around the corner from the Carlton hotel, close to the shopping center and the historical part of the city. Slightly cheaper than Carlton. But in terms of quality.....On the way to Thailand, we stayed at the Carlton hotel - it was a fairy tale, but on the way back we decided to save some money, on the website this hotel was classified as 4 *, not 3 *, otherwise we would not have chosen it.

To be honest, from the room in which we were settled, I wanted to run wherever my eyes looked - everything was somehow shabby, and it stank of disinfection so that my eyes watered, in the shower there was liquid hand soap and 2 towels for two, I don’t even know what year the TV was... In general, the impression was depressing. It was a standard number. After 15 minutes of staying in the room, I had to think hard - what did we book and where did our eyes look. Everything turned out to be simple - we booked Deluxe (we never book the cheapest rooms so as not to get into an unpleasant situation), but settled us in Standard, since we didn’t have a printed reservation with us, we had to innocently blink at the reception and ask, but we’re sure whether they put us in a room of the booked category, after which the girl turned pale, and the Indian manager on duty answered yes, of course, but since we didn’t like the room, the hotel administration will upgrade and relocate for free. What can I say, they moved us to a Deluxe (by the way, the difference in price with the Standard is small) - this is on the 7th floor, but the feeling that in another hotel everything is new, of a completely different level, and you could not regret your choice. Breakfast is average, not fancy, but ok for a couple of days. But on the ground floor there is a Chinese restaurant - we ate Peking duck there and it was great and somehow unusual - according to all the rules of cooking and unusually tasty. All in all, it's good that ends well. If you decide to stay at the Grand Pacific Hotel - only in DEluxe and be polite and persistent in defending your rights. Have a good trip!
