Continuation of my report on Singapore

Start here: http://blogs. turpravda. en/rever/93760.html

marina bay.

I got out at the metro station of the same name and made a circle around the entire bay (2 hours), through two pedestrian bridges. I went around all the surrounding sights in this way, examining them from all sides. A kind of "hi-tech" beauty framed by skyscrapers. I recommend, like me, to watch in the evening - everything is very impressive with backlighting.

At the same time at 20:00 (there is still at 21:30) I watched a show of water, lasers and holograms near the mall (opposite Merillion) - you won’t miss it, there is something like an amphitheater, and people are gathering by this time.

botanical garden.

It looks like a Singapore zoo, only for plants)))). The territory is very large, a lot of themed gardens, everything is very cool. The best is the orchid garden. Well, they take money for entering it (as much as 5d), and everything else is completely free.

Boat trip from Clarke Quay.

40 minutes walk along the river (20sd) - the place from which Singapore began.

During the walk, I realized that what existed before the construction of the new Marina Bay smokes on the sidelines. I photographed the beauty of Marina Bay in daylight (didn't even try in the evening).

Just took a walk. I'm not an expert, but the prices here are very attractive for consumer goods. I wasn't going to buy anything, so I didn't stay long. True, I came across a sign "Thai massage" and went in. I've never tried it before, so there's nothing to compare it to. Basically, I liked it.

Gardens By The Bay.

Geographically adjacent to Marina Bay and, accordingly, similar in spirit and constitutes a single ensemble. A large park with the inclusion of small themed gardens with a cognitive bias. Everything is already in hi-tech or modern style. Recognizable from afar, giant mushroom-shaped structures (giant trees, as conceived by the designers) look very impressive in the dark, with backlight. I got to the color-music show (19:45-20:00 and 20:45-21:00, in my opinion) - very cool.

In addition, the bridge has two domes, and they stand for a reason (16d each). I went to Cloud Forest first. Creativity and scope are amazing - it's necessary to build an artificial mountain with a waterfall, and even with conditioned cold air! ! ! The next time I visited the Flower Dome ...Under the dome - cold air, and inquisitive Singaporeans have the opportunity to get acquainted with plants from colder or drier places. With what delight they are photographed against the background of daisies! ! !

Orchard Road.

I got off at the Cityhall metro station and went towards Orchard Road, first through the old center of Singapore and so on to the metro station, Orchard Road itself. Central street with large, sparkling lights shops. In addition, there is a lot of greenery, in some places it even seems like you are walking through the park. I was here in the evening, and probably it was right.

Japanese & Chinese Gardens.

Gardens (free) adjoin each other. I went to Japanese first. This was my first Japanese garden, at least a large one.

Impressions, in short - I just didn’t want to go out, everything is so beautiful. Strict and concise splendor.

After the Japanese one, the Chinese garden seemed somewhat chaotic and vain...Although it is quite good))).

If you go by boat, I advise you to plan such a picnic for yourself - take food with you. Here it is in the order of things. And in the gardens themselves you can find only water ...

General impressions.

After each item, you can add the following: "Everything is clean, tidy, made for people and with love for people. "

In Singapore, the weather is hot, very hot or unbearably hot. Due to high humidity. The whole day to go to the sights is simply unrealistic because of this. I tried to make sorties no more than 5-6 hours long. But I was in Singapore for a month, and for work. There was a lot to see from here in the evenings. I can just advise tourists to get up early and have a siesta in the room at lunchtime.

In addition, if where the air conditioner works (transport, shops), then the winds are simply icy - quite dangerous in terms of colds, especially for children.

The metro and the bus are clean, comfortable (with air conditioning), there are many stops, so not very fast. I didn't notice any bumps. Taxis are also inexpensive, especially if you are 3-4 people. Better to order by phone. Otherwise, you can catch a long time or wait.

What to see in Singapore first.

In general, I could not understand before what Singapore is attractive for tourists. I knew it simply as a modern metropolis with skyscrapers. Now I understand. Singapore is the achievement of high-tech architecture combined with beautiful parks and zoos of various kinds. In addition, this is an example of how the people in 50 years changed their city-state from a poor corrupt to a modern prosperous country, from a provincial village to a city of the future.

For me, the best objects were ZOO and JURONG BIRD PARK, Japanese Garden, Botanic Garden - this is from nature, and the Marina Bay - Gardens By The Bay complex is modern. If you have time, I advise NIGHT SAFARI and Orchard Road.

All architecture besides Marina Bay - IMHO does not deserve special attention. So, if it comes along the way))). Actually, I went around the entire center of Singapore on foot and traveled from the airport to southwestern Jurong. But I had enough time for that. Everything is clean and well organized. Lots of greenery, small squares and parks.

Photos will be later, now they do not pass for some reason.
