Seychelles
Seychelles - this is probably the best place to relax. There is something to compare. The Maldives is beautiful but boring. Thailand is great too, but the beaches are second to none.
The only thing is that it's expensive. So, in the Seychelles, I stayed on the island of Mahe at the Berjaya hotel, which is located near the refurbished Beau Boulder beach, which is certainly not bad, but there is much better. I liked the hotel itself and is in a very convenient location, there is a bus stop nearby and to the capital - Victoria 10 minutes drive. I'll start from the island of Mahe. So, as I said, rest here is expensive, but if you know at least a little bit of English, you can save a lot. The island itself is not small and it will take at least three hours to go around it. I do not recommend renting a car, because a day's rent costs at least 40 euros, and a liter of gasoline costs 2 euros. That is, roughly speaking, in order to go to some remote beach, you will have to pay at least 60 euros a day. And it’s also worth mentioning the roads, firstly, the traffic here is left-handed, and secondly, the roads are very narrow, winding and mostly do not have chippers, although they are mostly located in the mountains. All in all, it's hard to drive. In principle, if you bargain, you can take a taxi for half a day for the same money, but you will have your own driver who knows the area. But in general, I would advise you to ride their buses, they travel almost all over the island, and the fare is about 40 cents, agree a significant difference. The bus station is located in Victoria on Palm Street. There, any driver can be shown on the map the place where you want to get, and he will tell you which bus to take.
Of the beaches, I would recommend three: Anse Polis, Anse Solier,
and Anse Intendence. On the first one, you can retire because there are almost never people here, and the other two are very beautiful and not crowded. In addition, there is a good fish restaurant on Anse Solier and not expensive by local standards, for two you can eat for 40 dollars. dollars.
Regarding excursions, I can say the following: The guide at the hotel offered us a sightseeing tour of Mahe for 300 euros for two. Such an excursion cost us $ 100, we just took a taxi in Victoria and the taxi driver drove us around the island, showing us all of the above beaches. In Victoria itself, we went to the Botanical Garden (the entrance was a little less than $ 10, but since there was a queue for tickets, we simply didn’t buy them and calmly went in), which, by the way, grows famous coconuts that look like a certain part of the female body, and there is also an aviary with dozens turtles, also visited the national museum, which is located three blocks from the garden and went to the central market, which is located near the Indian temple (open until three in the afternoon), by the way, we also went to the temple.
The only excursion that we purchased was a visit to two islands - Praslin and La Digue (340 euros for two). I liked it, but I would advise you to just buy tickets for the ferry at their ticket office - 200 euros for two and go to La Digue for the whole day, since there is nothing interesting on Praslin, except for the botanical garden, and the beaches, as for me, are inferior in beauty to the beaches on Mahe. But the Grand Anse beach on La Digue is exactly the Seychelles that you saw in the pictures before the trip - a completely clean seabed, clear water and lush vegetation, and most importantly, the famous boulders overgrown with palm trees that cut the ocean. By the way, not far from the beach there is also a good and not expensive restaurant.
