Well, aren't you tired yet? Not tired? : ) Then we'll just walk the streets, look into the yards, see where people live : )
The central part of the city is, of course, the brightest and most elegant
But even here there are buildings and streets that are not showy. There are Khrushchev five-story buildings, and two, three-story residential buildings of the 30s of the last century. Fortunately, their numbers are drastically decreasing.
But you have to give credit that everything is kept in good condition, as much as possible. In general, Saransk has repeatedly become the winner of the All-Russian competition "The most comfortable city in Russia", if not a winner, then certainly a prize-winner - and this is still extra money : )). Apartments on the first floors of residential buildings on almost all major streets of the city (not only in the Center) have been transferred to non-residential stock and adapted for shops of various kinds. Good or bad - I don’t know, but it means that some have something to sell, and others have something to buy : )). And it pleases.
Of course, in Saransk there are a huge number of problems, and who does not have them. (The roof says "Putin, help! ")
In Saransk, they build a lot and pretty quickly. And this is the exemplary Yubileiny district, replicated on all television channels, once there were meadows and swamps in these places

Or here's another - it seems like some kind of elite residential complex,
but no, it's just an ordinary house, mostly sold off with a mortgage. The so-called house at Pugachev. By the way, the monument to Emelyan Pugachev was erected in 1985, when there was just a village here, although it was part of the city.

This is the result of eternal enmity and misunderstanding between developers and owners of private houses. Everyone has their own truth - someone does not want to sell cheap, and someone does not want to take it for a high price. Let's hope for a speedy outcome of this battle, because there are so few schools, polyclinics, which, according to the plan, should be built in the depths of these quarters.

English appeared not only on signs, but also in public transport. Only the transport itself has not changed. I do not often use it, they say there are few such copies left.
But I was somewhat confused, perhaps, when, sitting down in the days of my youth, I suddenly heard the announcement of stops in English : )). While I was wandering around the city, I was haunted by buses, they really reminded me of something...
So it is - the Saransk bus fleet was updated for the Championship with brand new yellow MAZs (Minsk Automobile Plant).

Actually, without irony. Just in Minsk, and I visited Lisbon this year. Fresh memories, eye-catching - involuntarily compare : ).
Electronic displays appeared at the stops indicating the time of arrival, but at the time of my arrival, the time on the display did not correspond to reality, the transport did not arrive at all; ). Potential guests of the city should not be afraid. Everything that may be of interest to a tourist is within walking distance. To get lost in the city, especially in the central part, one still has to try, everything is straight and perpendicular : )) (as Empress Catherine II pointed out). The fare in municipal transport is 19 and 20 rubles, depending on the form of payment in cash or by transport card, in private minibuses 25 rubles, it seems... Personally, I most often use a taxi, the bus stop is very far from my parents' house, and also in hill, well, and "moskvachka" Well, I'm supposed to by status : )). In fact, the fare to the opposite end of the city (40 minutes drive) at the most expensive New Year's rate at night was 145 rubles. Maybe the price has gone up. Every day, of course, you don’t run into work, but visiting somewhere or after a bath is a very popular form of transport among local residents.
No matter how the rulers are scolded, no matter how the residents of Saransk complain about the bad life, including me for the company, in fact, not everything is so bad. Well, the lack of "parking" spaces at the children's clinic cannot be the result of a failed life : )))
The city is actively growing, there are more and more new cars on the streets, smart and cheerful people... In Saransk, there are programs for preferential 5% mortgages and housing subsidies for young families (under 35 years old) and large families. The institution of the family and family values are actively promoted.

And now I'm sorting through my acquaintances - and yes, only non-family people live with their parents : )) New quarters are quickly populated,
old ones are being transformed…
In Saransk people love fountains, and especially light and musical ones. There are several of them in the central part of the city. But on the outskirts, too, there are their own. This is how the fountain looks in the sleeping area of Svetotekhstroy (my small Motherland)

In general, in Saransk, all kinds of lights and decorations, fireworks and fireworks are not stingy.
On weekdays, all more or less significant buildings are illuminated, and by the holidays, especially New Year's, the city turns into a fairy tale, even in residential areas. Apparently, the past is affecting - after all, once Saransk was the capital of the lighting industry, and "every fourth light bulb of the Soviet Union was produced in Saransk. " But, alas, this industry is gone. Let's not talk about sad things. . .
Now we have a stadium, no matter how skeptical the locals are about it, but when you look at it, it immediately becomes brighter or something around. We built a lot of modern roads with interchanges (in general, the roads in Saransk have always been good)
Of course, there is no special tourist value in Saransk, but if you have already been brought here, for example, on a business trip, then know that in Saransk there is where to go and where to walk : )). Well, why not come over for a couple of weekends for a change. . .
And Saransk already has its own tourist obligation - the fulfillment of desires for rubbing your nose : ). In our case, the nose of the fox. Here, as a bonus, there is also an indication of the further vector of your life : )). So don't pass by
The fox is the symbol of the city. For a long time, the locals hunted with fur-bearing animals. From Catherine's time to the present day, the image of the coat of arms of the city of Saransk has changed several times according to the spirit of the times, but the fox with arrows has remained in all modifications.

Yes, I almost forgot what to bring from Saransk? Souvenir products there are now full and on every corner. But, in fact, I highly recommend the Saransk condensed milk produced by the Saransk cannery as a gift. It's not advertising, it's really delicious : ). They say that local vodka is also good, but I'm not special in this, and there are so many of them... I choose for presents, as girls should - because of the beauty of the bottle : ))
