I want to share my impressions about my stay in the Rossiya sanatorium in Essentuki. The rooms correspond to the level of comfort in Soviet times. There is no telephone connection between the rooms, and if you suddenly feel bad, you are unlikely to be able to call the medical staff for help, because the doctor on duty is on the first floor and you will have to get to him. The number of procedures offered by the attending physician is limited, so you will have to insistently beg for them, for your own previously paid money. The food is to be desired. The menu is monotonous. The food is the same day after day. It still does not fit in my mind how it was possible to serve sour potatoes to people with diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. Sometimes they include in the diet such food that does not correspond to the diet established by the attending physician. For example: red caviar, smoked sausage, canned soup, mushrooms, etc. Sometimes the dishes were served cold and were not possible to eat.
