2. Check-in - without remarks, things can be left in the luggage room before the estimated time, cleaning - without remarks (garbage - daily, bedding - once every 3 days). Professional, polite and fast. The elevator is spacious, with voice notification.
3. Single room: large bed (you can live with a mother with a small child), good repair, nice linens and towels. In the bathroom (bathroom, sink, toilet) - excellent hot water supply, warm heated towel rail, hair dryer, hygiene products replenished in a timely manner (soap, shower gel, shampoo, toilet paper). Air conditioning and refrigerator in working order, TV with an excellent quality Rostelecom package (there is a MatchTV channel - for fans), an unfurnished balcony - there is a clothes dryer. Iron and ironing board - on the floor in the public domain.
Please note: upon entering the room and closing the door, including the latch, out of habit we check if the door is closed and press the handle. And the door opens. The system is installed modern - the lock closes when the guest is inside, and from the outside you can only open the door with a card with an electronic key. And with a latch - and with a card, the door will not open from the outside. Thus, the confidentiality of access is maintained, but in case of an emergency exit from the premises there is no need to open the locks. It’s convenient, of course, but children can jump out into the corridor by pressing the handle while their parents, for example, are in the bathroom. Or maybe I didn't notice a fixer for such cases?
I didn't like it: in the bathroom, when the overhead light was turned on, the fan automatically turned on, which was very buzzing. If you are in the bathroom for a long time or with a child, it can be annoying. It is better, of course, when there is a separate switch for ventilation to use if necessary. Or, as an option, do not turn on the overhead light, but use the lamp above the sink.
4. Meals (I was at the breakfast buffet) - a variety of fresh food, there is enough space in the hall - no complaints. There is a cooler with cold and hot water in the hall on the 1st floor. There is a dining room and a cafe on the territory - pleasant, tasty, varied.
5. Clean well-groomed area, the beach is close (10 minutes walk) and is open until 20-00, walk along the promenade from the beach to the Olympic Park - within 1 hour. Communication is excellent, transport is available (bus, taxi), shops with groceries and resort products, kiosks with excursion offers on site - available, payment in cash and in a non-cash form. I liked that every evening music played on the site - children and adults could sit and listen to it or dance.
The hotel does not have a pool and other infrastructure that is found in resort hotels. The rooms are quite decent. True, in some places tiles fall off or wallpaper leaves, apparently nothing has been repaired since the Olympics. I had a single room with a small bed. There is a table, a small wardrobe, a refrigerator. It is not convenient to be on the balcony, the windows are too high.
Ekaterininsky quarter are closest to the beach. Although this part of the beach seems to belong to the hotel, you have to pay for umbrellas and sunbeds. I paid 400 for the set. The beach is pebbly, it was painful for me to go in. Therefore, it is better to stock up on special shoes.
About nutrition. Near the hotel there are many cafes where you can eat inexpensively. If you go out through the checkpoint farthest from the sea, then there is a dining room "Okroshka" nearby, I always ate there. You can have lunch for 150 - 200 rubles, depending on your appetite. Nearby there are many stalls with fruits, cheeses, wine, etc.
You can get to Krasnaya Polyana from the Olympic Park station, which is located near the park. The swallow walks twice a day. There around 10.00, from there around 20.30. Unfortunately, I never managed to visit there, as I was very unlucky with the weather, there were heavy rains.
There are many buses from the hotel, which can take you to the center of Adler, the port of Sochi, and other attractions.
The neighboring Bridge Family Hotel has a spa area where you can come for a swim in the pool and sit in the sauna. It costs 1000 r. per person for the whole day. At the same time, you can go out to the city, and on the same day come again to swim all for the same money, the main thing is not to throw away the bracelet.
The embankment of the Imeretinskaya Bay is long and beautiful, there are many bike and other transport rentals, you can buy any excursions, various fast food, ice cream, etc.
If I gather again in Sochi to finally go to Krasnaya Polyana, then perhaps I will stop again in the Velvet Seasons. This is an economical option and normal quality.
The location of the hotel is very convenient: a couple of minutes to the Olympic Park by bus (stop nearby), a 10-minute walk to the sea, and a stone's throw to Abkhazia.
The territory is bald, because plantings are not fully grown.
The room stock did not impress us with luxuries, which we did not expect, but everything is in order: good plumbing, furniture... True, there is a feeling that the hotel is new, but already a little shabby. Maybe the Tajiks did it : ) But we didn’t sit in the hotel for days, so it’s a credit.
The food is absolutely comparable to foreign hotels: everything is edible and even tasty.
I must say, the new Sochi pleasantly surprised us: we walked along the embankment with pleasure and breathed in the sea. We went to Rosa Khutor (there is a transfer, though sometimes there was not enough space) and could not believe our eyes, it seems that we were in Europe at a ski resort. We decided to stay there for two days and ride. Tracks, equipment, everything is in place. It was great to spend time outdoors doing outdoor activities. Returning to Sochi, we decided to go to Abkhazia (fortunately the hotel is right on the border) for a one-day tour, we really liked it! The weather was nice, there is almost no snow there. We visited the New Athos cave and the monastery attached to it. We went to see the sky park in Sochi, bungee jumped. In general, we spent the New Year holidays useful, active and very eventful. Of all, only probably the employees of the Biblio Globus did not work very well in the hotel, but this is no longer about the hotel.
Unfortunately, we didn’t take pictures of the rooms and the hotel (there is no such habit), so a couple of pictures of Sochi, skiing and Abkhazia.
