Ruins with stunning views of the city
An interesting attraction in the very center of Izmir. Kadifekale is not only the name of the fortress, but also the name of the hill on top of which it stands. The place is not difficult to find, it is enough to focus on the huge Turkish flag that flies over this place.

Nice place for pilgrims
What is special about this place? The legend says that the Virgin Mary, fleeing persecution, came here, lived here for the last years of her life and was allegedly buried.
