The main group of rocks with an area of 100 hectares, up to 30 m high, in a semicircle covers the inner area from the north and east, bounded by a moat and, obviously, a defensive rampart on the western side. In addition to the main group of rocks that surround the ancient dwelling, there are many individual rock towers in the surrounding forest. Among them, it should be noted in the west the highest "Tulip" (up to 40 m in height), south-west of it - "Kukla", and also in the north, by the road, a solitary "Windmill". These caves with benches, stairs, ditches, ramparts, loopholes, wells, unfortunately, have not been fully explored to this day. … monastery. Some people believe that there were castles or watchtowers here since Russian times (IX-XIII centuries), which informed the population about the alarm before an attack. Until that time, traces of outbuildings to the rocks have been preserved, perhaps these were wooden walls and fortifications of some kind of castle. Some associate various structures in the caves and the caves themselves with the presence of the leaders of the Carpathian opryshkas there, especially with the name of Oleksa Dovbush.
