A stone fortress appeared here in the 15th century. The first mention of the castle dates back to 1504, when its settlements and the castle church were completely destroyed by the Tatars. From the beginning of the XVI century. the magnates Semashki owned the local castle, and in the 17th century. the castle passed to the Danilovich family, and from them to the Tsetners. The castle in Gubkov was considered one of the most perfect defense complexes in the Volyn school in terms of composition and proportions.→
