The resort village of Oludeniz (literally - the Dead Sea) is located on the Turkish Mediterranean coast, 15 km from the city of Fethiye. Oludeniz is home to the Blue Lagoon, a national nature reserve in Turkey.
The place is surrounded by mountains on three sides, the highest of which is Babadag or Father Mountain.
The height of the main, so-called, lower start - 1672 m - is actively used by tourists for sightseeing tours and paragliding athletes for starts. The height of the upper start, at the peak of the mountain, is 1980 m. There is also an intermediate zone. All three launches are designed to take off under different wind directions. The topology of the place allows you to go above the bay at an altitude of 1000-1500 m, which makes Oludeniz one of the most popular places for practicing dangerous paragliding flight modes. Pilots come here from many European countries as well as from other continents.
In October, colorful competitions in aerial acrobatics are held, which gather a large number of participants and spectators. On the central street of Oludeniz, 300 meters long, there are many shops, cafes and bars.
