The most magnificent and beautiful palace in Bratislava - Primational - is located on the square of the same name, which is located just behind the Old Town Hall. This palace was built for the Archbishop and Primate of Hungary Josef Battiani in 1778-1781 on the site of an older and less beautiful mansion. Architect Melchior Hefele offered the customer a project of a building in the neoclassical style, which was approved. The owner of the palace is reminiscent of a large cardinal's hat mounted on the roof over the coat of arms of the archbishop.→
