Museum ship Vase

Vasa, Vasa, Wasa
Sweden, Stockholm
Vasa is a Swedish warship launched in the summer of 1628. The ship got its name in honor of the Vaza dynasty of Swedish kings that reigned at that time.

Being one of the largest and most expensive warships in the Swedish Navy, the Vasa was supposed to be its flagship, but due to design errors, the ship capsized and sank on its first exit from Stockholm harbor on August 10, 1628. In 1961, the ship was raised, mothballed, restored and is currently on display in a museum specially built for it. The Vasa is the world's only surviving sailing ship from the early 17th century.

Did you go on tour to visit Stockholm, have you long dreamed of visiting the city of Carlson, who lives on the roof? In fact, although the capital of Sweden was of interest not only because of the book hero, who, by the way, the locals consider a negative character that inclines the child to bad things, but also because of the extraordinary atmosphere that I heard about from everyone who had time to visit here. The reality did not disappoint in comparison with expectations, even more than that - I was pleasantly surprised! In Stockholm, I decided to take optional excursions to the maximum, and in addition to the Royal Palace, I managed to visit the famous Vasa Museum and see the very famous frigate, which quickly drowned, but went down in history forever and is available for tourists to this day.

Vasa is the most visited maritime museum in the world, and probably the most unique. Is it a joke to present to the world a real ship from the 17th century, surviving analogues, which simply do not exist in the world. Such a huge and meticulous amount of work could only be done in a country as meticulous and attentive to detail as Sweden. Its rise from the depths of the sea in 1961 was carried out under the eye of Swedish television on-line to the delight of everyone. For the work done and their patience, the Swedes deserve a standing ovation.
