I'm not sure that all Tverites (aka Tverites) are aware that the oldest bridge in their city is almost like a twin similar to another famous bridge in the capital of Hungary, Budapest. It is not known which of the architects “leaked” the idea from whom, because both bridges were designed at about the same time at the end of the nineteenth century: the Budapest Freedom Bridge by Janos Feketehazi, the Starovolzhsky Bridge in Tver by the Czech engineer Mashek. And the championship is not so important, since both bridges came out beautiful, airy and perfectly inscribed in the city landscapes.→
