The charming avenue of Avenida dos Allados is considered the main street of Porto and is a great place for leisurely walks around the city. It ends with an unusual building with a high tower - the City Hall of Porto, which fits perfectly into the surrounding architectural appearance of the avenue. The design of this building clearly shows the influence of the municipal architecture of Flanders and France. The Porto City Council building was built at the beginning of the 20th century. Designed by the architect Correa da Silva and for its intended purpose, it has been operating since 1957 to the present day.→
