There are many beautiful churches in Porto and it is really difficult to single out one particular one. Church of St. Anthony Congregados is no exception. The building of this small temple was built in the late 17th - early 18th centuries. on the basis of the already existing chapel as part of its expansion. The church is dedicated to Saint Anthony, a revered preacher and Franciscan priest originally from Lisbon, and designed by the famous architect of the time, Joaquim Jaime Ferreira-Alves. The main facade of the temple has a rather restrained and simple appearance, but with some baroque features.→
