One of the most interesting renaissance houses in Legnica - my favorite house in Poland. It is located on the corner of the Market Square (Maly Rynok, 38) and immediately attracts the attention of travelers with its painted facade: the whole house and even a semicircular bay window are covered with frescoes. By the way, it was the bay window that gave the name to this house, as it reminded someone of a quail's nest with its shape. The house was built in the 16th century and covered with frescoes, but over time they were hidden under a layer of plaster, and only in 1909 such a treasure was discovered! You can see that the facade of the house "At the Quail's Nest" is divided into five horizontal stripes, which depict deer hunting, the triumph of the goddess Ceres, characters from Aesop's fables.→
