The Monument to the Battle of Grunwald is located in Jan Matejko Square. Is this memorial built in honor of one of the most important historical events for Poland? victory of the allied Polish-Lithuanian troops over the Knights of the Teutonic Order. This battle took place on July 15.1410 and changed the course of the "Great War" of 1409-1411 in favor of Allied troops.
