The Basilica of the Corpus Christi is called one of the most beautiful religious buildings in the city. Relatively small in size, it has gathered all the best that was in architecture at the time of its construction. The first temple was built of wood on the initiative of Casimir III the Great in 1340. Construction of the stone building began in 1385 and was completed in 1405. The temple was repeatedly supplemented with new elements, but in general retained the appearance of the XV century. In January 2005, it was granted the status of a small basilica by a decree of Pope John Paul II.→
