The Basilica of the Corpus Christi is called one of the most beautiful religious buildings in the city. Relatively small in size, it has gathered all the best that was in architecture at the time of its construction.

The first temple was built of wood on the initiative of Casimir III the Great in 1340. Construction of the stone building began in 1385 and was completed in 1405. The temple was repeatedly supplemented with new elements, but in general retained the appearance of the XV century. In January 2005, it was granted the status of a small basilica by a decree of Pope John Paul II.
Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance - the church combines all three styles. This eclecticism gave the building an original and unique look. In the western part of the temple is its dominant - a slender six-story bell tower. Its height is about 70 meters. It has four bells. The roof of the church with brick teeth and high lancet windows, typical of the Gothic style, attracts attention.
The interiors of the temple are also impressive. The high ceiling gives a feeling of boundless space, arched ceilings support rows of slender columns. The main altar is decorated with icons by the Italian Baroque painter Tomaso Dolabelli. Saint Stanislaus Kazimirchyk, who served in the church for many years, is buried here. The church complex includes three chapels - Our Lady, St. Anna and the Annunciation.
