The history of the Flomsbana railway goes back over 75 years. It goes from the town of Flå m (in the local dialect it is a narrow valley between the mountains) with a pier on the banks of the Sognefjord, where motor roads also fit, to the main Oslo-Bergen railway line opened in 1909, along which the locals get to the station for boarding the express . Tourists can, if they wish, return to the fjord again, which they usually do. During my trip, the Norwegians themselves used the road for free, everything was paid for by tourists, an endless stream of which ensured the functioning of this private line.→
