The bell tower is named after its first author, Giotto di Bondone. He designed and built the first tier. Later, construction was continued by Andrea Pisano and Francesco Talenti. The square building has a side of 14.5 meters and 84.7 meters in height (according to the project it should be 122 meters). Multicolored marble inlays and numerous sculptures make it a masterpiece of Florentine Gothic. White Carrara marble, gray-green marble from Prato and pink marble from Siena are used in the decoration.→
