The Palace of Notaries is located in the heart of Bologna, in Piazza Maggiore. The palace was created by combining two buildings that already belonged to a corporation of notaries. The right wing, older, dates back to 1287. The left wing, overlooking the Basilica of St. Petronius, was built during the expansion of 1384-1388. Six magnificent windows with small marble partitions were designed by Antonio di Vincenzo (1385). The facade of the palace, overlooking the Accursio Palace, was rebuilt in about the same style in 1437 (Bartolomeo Fioravanti).→
