Looking first at my dusty sneakers and worn jeans, then at the huge windows decorated with gilded monograms, two feelings fought in me - awkwardness and curiosity. However, curiosity eventually got the better of me, and after convincing myself to go in for a "couple of shots" and, if I was lucky, a coffee, I stepped after a man who was barely visible because of a huge travel backpack. What was my surprise that the hall was almost completely filled with tourists like me, and not at all ladies in evening dresses and gentlemen in tailcoats.→
