The New York Cafe in Budapest is ranked among the most beautiful in the world, and believe me, this is not a figure of speech. The cafe is located in a golden room on the ground floor of the Boscolo Hotel and is the oldest cafe in Budapest. Once upon a time, creative bohemia gathered here; today the vast majority of visitors are tourists and five-star hotel guests. Unfortunately, you can’t just go here to watch, a warning head waiter will meet you at the door and take you to a free table (if any). I liked that all visitors are treated without prejudice here, and even if you entered in dusty sneakers with a guide under your arm and a camera at the ready, you will be greeted as a VIP person, without betraying with a look or gesture that you are not dressed according to "dress code". Of course, it is not cheap here, but even an ordinary cup of coffee is brought with a glass of water and a miniature cake.
There is in this royal service and atmosphere and the opposite side, negative for the tourist. The staff does not allow photography in the room. After all, people are eating, and you flash in their face, otherwise look still hang on some gilded cupid in search of a good selfie - not everyone will like it. No, behave decently, especially since they came without a tuxedo. The maximum that is allowed to be photographed officially is your own plate. But there is a way out of any situation, so when you go to the toilet, which is out of sight of the metro station and waiters, as it is located at some distance, take a camera with you - take pictures on the way to the "rest room"; )
