Resting in Greece, we decided to dilute our beach holiday and visit the "hanging" monasteries of Meteora, which are the pride of Greece. The tour lasted almost from early morning until late at night. We drove quite a long way (about 4 hours one way) to the settlement of Kalambaka, which is located at the foot of strange mountain fragments, similar to fingers stretched to the sky, on which the monasteries are located. They are also called the stone forest of the Thessalian plain. "Kalambaka" means in Greek "Come and see! ".→
