The construction of this majestic building 120 meters high began in the middle of the 18th century under Louis XV, and was completed in 1789. This architectural monument, made in the style of classicism, is located in the Latin Quarter. The inscription at the entrance to the building reads: "Grateful fatherland to great people." I advise you to buy tickets for visiting on the site, then you will not have to stand in line, which will make the tour more enjoyable. They came to the Pantheon because it is the same symbol of Paris as the Louvre or the Eiffel Tower. This building was conceived by Louis XV as a church, and as a result of the revolution, it became the mausoleum of the great French. The inspection began from the crypt: Walter, Dumas pè re, Zola, the Curie family and many other persons that France is proud of are buried here.
