We went to the restaurant in the Old Port (address: Place aux Huiles, 1) with the sole purpose of trying the famous fish soup - bouillabaisse. A limited number of restaurants in Marseille have the right to cook it under this name, and the fish from which it is cooked must have a Marseille accent : ) Historically, bouillabaisse was a traditional dish of Marseille fishermen and was made from fish left over in the evening after the sale - it was a cheap soup. However, thanks to its fame, as well as the development of tourism on the coast of France, the restaurant cuisine of Marseille has created several very expensive varieties of it.→
