dancing House

Dancing House, Dancing Building, Ginger & Fred, Tančící dům
Czech republic, Prague
The Dancing House is a deconstructivist office building in Prague, consisting of two cylindrical towers: normal and destructive. The Dancing House is an architectural metaphor for a dancing couple, jokingly called "Ginger and Fred" after the couple Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire. Like many deconstructivist buildings, it contrasts sharply with the neighboring integral architectural complex of the turn of the 19th-20th centuries.

The house is located in Prague 2, on the corner of Resslova street and the embankment. The authors of the project are Croatian architect Vlado Milunić and Canadian architect Frank Gehry. Construction was carried out from 1994 to 1996. The building is an office center, which houses several international companies. On the roof there is a French restaurant overlooking Prague.

The Dancing House in Prague is built on the principle and in the style of deconstructivism. This direction in architecture embodies the experience and experience in the deformation of elements and building structures of the building, which, of course, can be seen immediately in the final results. Visual complexity of perception, such an aggressive reminder of the environment - such structures are difficult not to notice, you can not pass them without surprise, and the Dancing House is no exception! This structure - pure water innovation, boldness and architectural whimsy in one person.

It is located somewhat away from the center. You can take a walk and go to a good beer "U Fleku" nearby (they brew their own beer), so to speak, combine the beautiful with the pleasant.
