Yonghegong is one of the most beautiful Buddhist monasteries in China. In translation, it means a lamaist temple, and this is how it is according to the dogma. Historians are inclined to believe that the monastery was built in the 17th century. During these past centuries, the buildings of Yonghegun have undergone several renovations. The monastery includes five temples, or rather, halls, the main of which is commonly called the hall of harmony and peace. There are many statues in each of the halls of Yonghegun.→
