The monumental building with a 250-meter-long facade was erected in 1909-1913 by architect Ludwig Baumann to house the Austro-Hungarian Ministry of War. The building has nine courtyards, one of which, 40 meters long with a glass roof, was used as a riding school. Seven floors, not counting the attic; about 1000 rooms, 2500 windows. In 1938-1945 the building was used by the German army. The building was damaged by Allied bombing and ground battles with the Red Army. In 1952, the restoration of the building was completed.→
