Unforgettable adventure with PAGANEL STUDIO
Last autumn I had the good fortune to visit the other side of the earth. I would not have made it myself - complex visas, many places scattered over two islands - transfers for one person are unbearable (
The question disappeared on its own when I found out that the Paganellis were planning an expedition there.
The passport with the visa was returned after 20 days, the ticket was taken with an overstop through Singapore, so as not to turn sour during the endless flight. And never regretted it! I met Singapore with perfect weather, a convenient airport-hotel transfer by metro directly from Changi (I took the room at Hotel Boss, ideal location from the metro, rooftop pool, reasonable prices, rooms are small, but the hotel is at the level! the only advice is do not take breakfast, but better go to the local food court on the ground floor with a bunch of cafes and Asian food for a penny)
Now about the main thing! New Zealand! Everything is perfect here, to be honest . . already infuriates)) everywhere there is utter beauty: meadows, horses, vineyards, fields, lambs graze, flowers . . and no one plows! no one at all) everyone drinks cappuccino, read newspapers and travel around the country on campers. Everyone is calm, no show-offs and branded stores (well, maybe there are a couple in Queenstown, but there is already a high level, which Obama advertises in the window)). The food in any eatery is excellent. Lamb and wine - beyond praise! Another delicious local thick fish soup is Chowder. Nature has created everything to live on this piece of the planet, not depending on the rest of the land. Endless and fast-growing forests (business for sale, like milk, lamb), raging rivers (electricity) and ocean (food and calm border), warm springs and geysers (natural heating in some areas), ideal pastures and fields. Even oil has its own! The country frankly earns on tourism, but all the same, foreigners are practically not visible (although this may be the merit of the Paganels, since unbroken routes are their strong point). Even souvenirs are cool, because nothing is made in china.
I really liked the black sand beach near Auckland and the Gannet bird settlement. Geysers right under the windows of the hotel in Rotorua. Jumping from the bridge to the quarry near Queenstown. Milford Sound Bay and boat trip with views of waterfalls, fur seals, penguins and dolphins gliding alongside. .
Tips: do not take breakfast in hotels (unless, of course, you plan to live in the most expensive ones). Better go to any market and buy perfect yellow kiwis, already cooked and peeled king prawns, cherry tomatoes, cheese - whatever! I even want to buy canned cat food there)) by the way, in many hotels along the route there is a barbecue and you can arrange a small feast with a beautiful view.
Only take comfortable clothes and shoes for travel. Be sure to wear a light waterproof windbreaker with a hood (sometimes the weather changes every 15 minutes), in November it often drizzled - it was a New Zealand spring.
Oh yes! if you're lucky - go to rugby! especially cool are the awesome Maori dances at the beginning of the match. The whole country is obsessed with this game and the All Blacks. Well, they still respect the jumps. Then all the ladies wear dresses and hats and there are no empty seats in the TV bars.
In general, what can I say: Zelenka is worth all the expectations and flights. And yes, it's worth the money. Come whenever possible, walk through the ancient fern forests, bathe in hot springs, try all the extreme entertainment in Queenstown and of course drink New Zealand wine! It is advisable to make a toast that maybe someday we will learn to value our land, people, time, natural resources as well and finally start doing the right things; )
